I'd prefer Kadlec but if not Naysmith would do but is he any better than Mulgrew?

Naysmith isn't much better than Camara.....We need a different class of player than these if we want to get anywhere in the champions league!

    Kadlec (£2m) and Naysmith (750K)

    The valuations say it all.

You get what you pay for.

would even prefer ian harte over naysmith...if we cant get kaldec we shud go back in for fortune n offfer him a 2 year deal.if not then theres plently more options better than naysmith such as juanfran either on loan or a million and ivory coats boka would be cheap as strasborg were relegated last year....

I would get Ian Harte and Michael Kadlec. Naysmith just isn't good enough.

I think you'll find WE value them BOTH at about 750k, hence the problem.

I cannot believe there is someone with such opposite opinions to me, its spooky. There can be no doubt that Naysmith is as good, if not better than all of the following:
    Telfer
    Caldwell
    Wilson
    Camara
    McManus
    Virgo
If these guys can/have played for us, so can he at that price. He is the equal od Jackie Mac and he did not do too badly.

Naysmith was the Wilson of his day and has since performed in the premiership and on the international stage. Would Wilson play for Everton, realistically? No.

    Nuno Valente plays for Everton.

Gary Naysmith is 28. Mark Wilson is 21 and granted has a lot of developing. Anyway this is irrelvant because he will be playing right back next year.:86:

Point is, people on here have a tendency to dismiss players for other clubs whilst giving plaudit after plaudit to our own bhoys. Naysmith is wanted by Stuttgart and ourselves, is the no.1 choice for Scotland when fit, would be the best LB we have had for a number of years and would probably be the best in Scotland due to the derth of talent in that position, but you get the folk on here calling him " pish " who have no idea of football at all. Wilson, Caldwell, McManus, Kennedy, Virgo etc, right now, are not as good as him.

None of them are as good because none them are any good apart from Wilson who has bags of potential, best of a bag bunch is not a point of recommendation for Naysmith. He is an extremely ordinary player who wont get any better.

He'd waltz into our team. Name me a better LB in Scotland. If we had the best players in Scotland in every position then that would do for me. If you bothered to listen to WGS you'd realise he is aware of the need for experience, not wanting a team full of players "with potential", it is unlikely Jarosik will get much better either, that is not the point. Sometimes you need players who are the finished article.

there isnt a quality left back in Scotland nor a quality Scottish left back playing elsewhere, that is why GS wants Kadlec

if the finished article aint up to much then we shouldnt buy them. If a player like Kadlec/Wilson can surpass the ability of "the finished article" then you develope that player, and of course balance is required. That is why the developed players must be quality

Wilson has a great deal left to prove yet you talk as tho it is a given that he will become a better player than Naysmith. You also talk about Kadlec like you have any idea how good he is, remember that WGS reportedly has Naysmith on his list so if you think he is mediocre then why trust the managers judgement on Kadlec? Naysmith has performed to a higher level for Scotland than Jackie, so did you rate Jackie?
