My thoughts exactly. I'd imagine that most of the people moaning about Lennon are the same people who call for 'Celtic minded managers/players', is there anyone atm as Celtic minded as Neil Lennon?

He may not have the experience but this guy will do his all for Celtic Football Club, he's a supporter himself so knows exactly what is expected.

You don't think Mark Hughes is a big name in football? The guy had a phenomanal career. If it wasn't for that and that he is a household name nobody would want him.

    Gaurenteed.

There the same guy mate, can't seperate the two because he is well known because of his career. A household name, well connected in the football world because of his playing days.

Only reason he gets high acclaim for how average a manager he is and the only reason people were shouting for him to manage us.

That means going by your reasoning lennon doesn't deserve it either Hughes has done eons more than lennon in management.

It's looking by the hype with Hughes and looking at his qaulities as a manager. I don't think he has the mentality to cut it at a high level.

Neil is inexperienced but his whole persona screams winner, he has been part of the first team coaching staff where he made a difference at the end of season 07/08 he came in we went on a winning run of 8/9 games. End of last season he took charge we went on a winning run of 8 games.

The man inspires people to greater things than they are by instilling a work rate in them and the need to win. The question marks we have over Neil is does he know when to make a vital change to turn things our way? If he can deal well in the transfer market? (This ones looking up with the players we've been linked with)

One thing I've not heard anybody mention either is the type of player Neil was. He wasn't particulary blessed with any skills but he worked hard and studyed the game so that by the end of the career you barely so him move but he was making so many interceptions in a match that our midfield of last season probably struggled to make in half a season.

Neil was a master at reading the game on the pitch, that bodes well for reading the game in the dug out.

It's a gamble but one I'm more than willing to take.

My heart says of course i'm happy and at the moment it's trying to convince my brain. I'm having to sit on the fence i really don't know.

Pep Guardiola was inexperienced and got his side playing for him because he has that connection with the players and club. I know people will say that look at the players he's got, but with the players we have we should never have been in the position we were last season.

People also forget another successful inexperienced manager, a certain Graeme Souness? :97:
