The ONLY good thing to come out of January 2009 was that it probably led to him going.

I think they all contributed but I also think the board had there part to play there is no doubt in my mind that we would have been more successful if we had more experience at the center of defence.

    In order:

    1) Tony Mowbray simply put he is not a winner. Ideals before football, the fact that he could just accept anything (Take it on the chin) and how he was clearly not enjoying being in the Celtic hotseat.

    2) The Referees The decisions that went against us last year were absolute abysmal. Three games against Rangers the big decisions went against us (often more than once in the one game) Falkirk (Onside goal got disallowed last minute) and Dundee Utd (Penalty's should've been awarded at the end of the match, just ask Peter Houston) These games put a huge swing of points Rangers way.

    3) The Players No heart, no leadership, no passion.

    4) Walter Smith What a * but he played it perfectly last season.

Nah mate. Even though it didn't work out under Tony Mowbray I still would not want him back at Celtic Park. The only thing for me that cushioned the blow of Rangers winning that league was Strachan resigning the next day.

For me it was obviously something Mowbray was doing, because Lennon got 8 SPL wins out of 8. Ross County i'd put down to lack of respect from our players to the wee team.

its grand blaming tony mowbray, but the real blame lies with the players . ure man josh thompson ..against ross county was useless. Complete embarassment which lead to one of their goals.

I hope lenny sorts a few players out over the summer.

Josh Thompson is an 18 year old who isn't ready for first team football.

Mowbray sold Caldwell and loaned out McManus, leaving us short at the back at the first injury and needing to throw in an unproven youngster.

Neil Lennon got 8 wins in a row out of the same players that Mowbray couldn't string 3 together with.

That shows you where the blame is.

It's obviously a combination of things, but one thing I think this poll overlooks is the negative pressure our own fans put on the manager and the players. We attack players personally when they're off form and easily forget the good things they do when they're on form.

Agree to a degree, but it is usually the less popular players.

For example, i can't really recall of Boruc being given personal abuse during any of his slumps. Though it is different case for McGeady.

McGeady is who I most had in mind in this case. I watched Channel67's review of the season which had highlights from every game and it really makes you appreciate how well he actually played for us this season and how when we actually did play well he was at the heart of it. Really in no way deserves the abuse he gets on here.

The Jan 2009 window cost us the previous season & Jan 2010 cost us last time.Mowbray started by saying his players may not be good enough for him, in the window I think he thought he had to make a big statement. He certainly did that. In the future I hope we don't rely on the "window" to get our squad up to scratch. Its much better to do the business oin the summer, & maybe just buy one or two replacements where necessary in Jan. So we need some signings now!!

The "players" showed NO fight what so ever untill after the Ross County game.

They showed the attitude that cost Tony Mowbray his job in that game. Lennon knocked that out them though which Mowbray failed to do

Did refs cause us to get gubbed 4-0 by a rank rotten St Mirren or lose 1-0 to nearly relegated Kilmarnock?

Did refs cause us to lose repeated goals from simple balls into the box (Huns, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Hearts, Hbs, Dundee United)?

People need to get the chip off the shoulder and get real, blaming the refs for last season is laughable.

Tony Mowbray cost us the title no doubts. We shouldn't have to rely on refereeing decisons to beat sides in the SPL
