Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton has revealed the club are in discussions to bring two unnamed Celtic players to the County Ground.

Town have strong links with the Scottish giants after signing Scott Cuthbert on a permanent transfer from the Bhoys last summer, while they also drafted in Ben Hutchison and Simon Ferry on loan.

It seems unlikely that Ferry will be able to be recruited again, but Fitton is optimistic a minimum of one other Hoops player will be at the club next season.

Fitton told the Swindon Advertiser: "I could quite confidently say you will see at least one or possibly two current Celtic players in our squad next season.

"You don't know if that will be loans or permanent transfers until you have further conversations, but we are talking."
He added: "Celtic have been so impressed with Simon Ferry's performances here that they want him back for pre-season training. It's because we've done a great job with him. We took him on when he had come back from a serious injury and gave him game time."

So who we thinking got to be a couple of youngsters.

could even possibly be someone like Mizuno. Forrest would be on loan but i don't think Celtic would hand McGowan a new one-year deal last month then tell him to go on loan to Swindon

I would loan them Forrest and McGowan, 2 players who could possibly make it for us soon hopefully! Ki should be involved in the first team now so not him and i would get rid of Sheridan and Hutch so i would rule them out unless one of them is a permanent move to Swindon.

Be realistic lads, Ki, Sammy and Maloney are not going to be in talks with league 1 swindon.

Ferry and maybe McGowan or Hutchinson

You seriously think Swindon are going to even attempt to sign Boruc & McGeady?

Take back my Hitchinson comment after looking at his stats for them last season, think it will be Sheridan and Slane.

Hopefully Thompson, he was thrown in at the deep end with us so has got some experience under his belt but a season in League 1 could do him the world of good.

I personally wouldn't send McGowan, I'd be looking to offload him permanently, maybe Slane.
