Rasmussen is a better version of him anyway.

    I disagree.

Not that Rasmussen isn't better, I just don't think they're that similiar.

Well. Chris Killen and Derek Riordan both with a past as goalscoring players for Hibs. None of them was any success at Celtic Park.

Ben Hutchinson scored goals for fun for our Reserve team last season, couldn't do it at Swindon Town, and seems to be after McGowan, Sheridan and Forrest in the hierarchy.

Scoring-records isn't all when we look at potential transfer targets.

And as far as I recall he wasn't very goalscoring for Sunderland?

I would take him cheap as back-up. But not for £2m. £300,000 as max.

I'd take Stokes. He has done really well with Hibs and we all know that he can stick the ball in the back of the net. However 2+ million seems a bit steep.

i do think rasmussen should get first chance before anyone and see how he does with a run in the team but we do need to sign another striker as well if thats stokes fair enough

Not sure about this one, on the one hand he'll have to prove himself to the club & the fans after knocking us back a few years ago, but on the other hand, maybe he shouldn't get that chance, I'm sure we could get a better striker for the money, possibly Lambert.

agreed - what happens if he has an excellent first half to his season and then a prem team are sniffing around - he will dump us again for the money. He has also proven himself to be mince when he decided to snub us. Not good enough for us - as someone else said Riordan, Killen etc all had a good scoring record but struggled at Celtic whilst McDonald, who didn't have such a great record, did well here

Don't really rate him. he comes across as a riordan type of guy. just plain stupid and/or a ned that plays football.

This is utter nonsense, Celtic took Maloney back, after he turned us down, and nothing like this was said, absolute nothing. He scores goals and thats what the club needs, if he benefits the club, which he clearly will, id say go for it.

Aye he may have knocked us back but get over it. He is a decent player and is only 21 so has the potential to get much much better. He scored 20 a season with average teams, so might score more with us coz we attack more and create more chances. If we could get him for 1-2million then fair enough. Give the lad a break

Put it this way, if we buy him and he goes on a strop for whatever reason i have no doubt lennon will drop him, instead of sticking by him becuase he bought him, I would take him and sell one of our strikers, and try and get a very very good other striker also
