tbh this thread is so stupid u cant judge players when they play in different positions e.g boruc is better than naka....boruc is a keeper of course he is goin 2 be better, u dont see naka in goals do u? lennon he is a (defensive)holdin midfield and naka is offensive, some1 else said zurawski is did better than naka u cant * compare players in * different positions magic is striker, naka is playmaker they r 2 different players, yes i agree maloney is sort of the same player as naka and yes maloney is more consistant but they r both good

 

Naka is better than maloney, maloney did have a better season. But you have to consider things - climate changes, language barriers that are holding nakamura back. In japan games i saw him moaning (something ive never seen him do at celtic)

By now he has probabaly adjusted to the climate, it is only the language barrier holding him back now.

Imagine having to play football and not understand, people say things like "man coming", "man on". Naka was probably like, what the * are they saying?

 

Seeing as you can't work it out for yourself how about I rephrase it for you: People are comparing general contribution to the team. We know that they are in different positions and therefore its difficult to directly compare them but for example its clear and everyone would agree that Zurawski 'done better' than say Mo Camara last season.

Didnt you want to say Naka has got the better potential? in my opinion maloney was the mvp of last season. i know naka can play better than last season, and I hope he will prove it. sometimes players just cant scoop their potential.

Oh dear.. Kerr and RCisGod - I wasnt trying to make a statement with that, I was merely proving that players in different positions CAN be compared to a certain extent. Idiots.

 

tell me why neil lennon hasn't had a better season than nakamura,nakamura was missing for 50% of the season,though neil lennon was on good form 90% of the time,it doesn't make sense!

i agree though maloney sometimes runs up a dead end and needs to play the simple pass,yet he might end up getting castagated for doing that,he doesn't want to end up getting the criticism neil lennon gets.

 

Timmy,, some people are far too carried away and rate Naka more highly than he actually is, he is not a world beater.. He has excellent skill & Technique - Correct however he goes missing in big games and at times gets hustled off the ball far too easily.

Dont get me wrong I rate Naka highly, probably the best player at Celtic currently I just dont see why everyone thinks hes the bogs bollocks when he hasnt really done anything in his first season here.

 

There is little argument for Naka being better than Maloney. Statistics would favour Maloney every time ( assists & goals ), as would team selections. Naka is heralded as a star because he has great technique, which is only a part of the modern footballers make up. Give me a player with heart and desire like Maloney every time.
