Just wondering if anyone knows how far along he is with his long term injury and when he will be back to full fitness. He has n`t had a decent run of games since he returned or when he does he seems to pick up an injury , should we move him on?

Hopefully with a preseason he can get back to his best. We could do with it.

One of the first of the deadwood that should be shipped out. Decent wages, never plays and when he does gives us 1 good performance for every 5 bad ones.

Agree with this. When fit Maloney is a superb player, similar to McGeady but crucially has the final product, better at finishing and a better final ball IMO. If we can get him fit, he simply must stay.

If maloney can stay injury free he will be a valuable player for us, he is direct and take a decent free kick !

Maloney would be a very valuable player for us and out best winger by a distance if he could stay fit for the season.

I wouldn't actively try to sell Maloney but if did end up going this Summer, I wouldn't be too bothered - he's made of glass.

i think if he stays younger player like mcginn, mizuno and forrest could really learn from him - then we would have a few quality players on our hands!

Wake up mate :87: He is one of our best players when fit, he was playing really well at the start of the season before he got injured.

Some people just don't like the guy and you may just be another one

He's injured more often than he's fit so he's just eating up wages we can't afford I'd sell him if anyone showed the slightest interest.

I do like Maloney but I would be tempted to sell him if an offer came in. He's never fit enough.

Well if he's injured as much as you make out, do you think anyone is going to show interest in him? I think not. Also, he isn't the only one on decent wages that is always injured. I think we signed some Centre Back in January..... but he's only played 1 and a half games due to injury. How do you know that he isn't going to be always injured aswell? I think alot of people are too quick in slagging Maloney and the rest of the injured lads get forgotten about. I actually think its the pitches at Lennoxtown that are causing these injuries and are playing a big part in them re-occurring.

How could we even contemplate selling a player who has been injured for so long. The market for injured players is not exactly buoyant.
Maloney could make a serious contribution to our cause if he gets through close season and makes it onto the park, he is a player who can make things happen. He will be given the chance by any manager who is appointed. He should not be judged a failure for being injured.

Agree with everything you just said mate :50: Who wants to buy a player who's "always injured"? We can forget about selling him, he's here until his contract is finished.

He most definately is a player who can make things happen and shouldn't be judged a failure for being injured as you said. Its frustrating that he's been so unlucky with injury, maybe its that no.13 jersey...

I agree as much as i think hes a decent player, we just cant be wasting money on Maloney when hes constantly injured.

I don't think it would be easy to sell him which is why I said if anyone showed the slightest interest we should sell.

Maloney has only had 1 fully fit season for Celtic, he's shown more than the new signings that he's injured a * of a lot. If the others had the same record as him for sick notes then I'd want rid of them as well, but I'm willing to give them more than a few months to prove whether or not they can stay fit, Maloney has proved he can't.

You will probably find that the majority of players will not have a fully fit season though. That's football. Anyone I can't see anyone coming in to buy Maloney anytime soon so you might just have to deal with him for the meantime. I hope he comes out next season and produces the form we all know he is capable of.

There's no denying all players can get injured, but come on surely you can admit that Maloney is injured more than most?

If he stays, somehow manages to stay fit and plays well then great, but going on previous experience the staying fit bit seems very unlikely which is why if the opportunity arose to move him on I'd jump at it.
