    If you cover up one single peadophile guess what? You are just as evil as the rapist.

    I suppose my previous post was just a rant and for that I apologise but it just astonishes me that so many people cannot see this man for what he is.

    pope john paul recognized evolution as a valid theory, he also was not an ex-*,

    to be honest, a lot of my prejudice lies (personal against benedict, not of religion, another story/thread altogether) in that i dont like the idea of an ex-* (deserter or not) being the ruler of a major religion

    Pretty much anyone under the age of 18 in * Germany were enforced into joining Hitler Youth. If not he would be putting his and his family's life at risk. Its easy to look back on it and say 'i'd have fought against becoming a *' etc but they weren't to know the full-scale of the atrocities about to be carried due to being brainwashed from an early age.

    Back to the OP, i'm not bothered by Pope Benedict, although like others, i preferred JPII
