Aiden McGeady is shock £9m target for Spartak Moscow

the reason i think people here want him to leave is because they are still bitter about him playing for ireland,i suppose i am a little bit but he's our most important player so i dont want him to go

 

Loads of team's intrested in him ehhh sell this overrated player before his value goes down futher.

Like i have said on countless of times we will never make the CL this year so i think it would make good SENSE to sell him try and recoup most of the money we might make in the CL try and get a half decent player and then some money into the bank .

We now need to be a selling club if we can as we will not into the CL anytime soon sorry for being a kill joy but it's the way i see it

As I have said countless times before, unlike our less privelaged counterparts across the city, we do NOT need to sell we have every chance of getting in the champions league this year or getting a run in the Europa league.

Neil Lennon has said this himself," we do not need to sell aiden or Scott brown" Aiden will leave when the time is right.

Our rivals accross the city are in serious trouble and while they DO NEED to sell it puts them at a serious disadvantage in transfer dealings. We do not need to sell players * nilly!!!

Aiden is a tremendous talent, he can do things some of the top players in world football can only dream about. He is inconsistent, but which player in the spl has been consistent the whole season?

Teams have been doubling up on him and he has had to play deep most of the time due to the clubs inhability to bring in a decent left back.

With better players around him he will flourish, of that I am positive, and his value will only increase as a consequence.

We are trying to install passion, belief, and fight in the team. Lennon, mjallby
and Thompson have been recruited to drive this home to the players, the fans also need to bring this attitude to the stadium and people like yourself with all your negativity is bad for morale!!!!!!

This tremendous talent you say if he was where is all the clubs want to sign him ( big name clubs )
What world class footballers can't do the things he does in a league that is not the best is it in europe ehhh

Was * last year was he good in europe or any old firms games last year ????

hes usually good in europe imo, barca , villareal , benfica , man utd ( gave rafael a lesson ) and even arsenal he was the only player who didnt look out of his depth,
And funny he supposedly had a bad season this year but imo along with hinkel and keane, aiden was our best player , infact even keane said he was.

IMHO dont sell he's our quality player and with new signings and a bit more quality we will be a force again but we need the players to know what wearing the jersey means thats why Lenny will be MANAGER

 

aiden is quility the best player by a mile in scotland and in the top 10 attack minded players in britain,,he beats every1 with his skill gets the ball across 9x out of 10 a no * has the brain to be on the penalty spot to crash it in..the money spent down there on bums is nuts hes worth 12 minimum.big miss and ages before we see the likes again..1 of they u dont know what u got till its gone for alot of fans.

Many of these people criticizing McGeady are going head over heels for Ledley in the other thread, lol. It's ridiculous. He's not productive enough...blah blah blah. Look at the stats people. McGeady has outperformed Ledley, yet Ledley is amazing? Don't get me wrong, he's a decent player, but he's not better than McGeady at the moment.

Says on the BBC pages that Celtic Have rejected the £8.3M offer for McGeady , im just wondering if they would have rejected a similair offer had it come from an English team ..Makes the board look good rejecting the offer from russia they knew he wouldnt have gone anyway ..

 

I think the rejecting comes down to only one reason;

They don't want to sell him.

 

who bidded 9 million pounds ? emm no one as it says in one paper 6 mil and in other 8.3 mil .

 

If a bid comes in over the 10million Celtic have put on his head from a side in the prem i can see mc geady going , Reported Brum offered 7million upfront and a package taking it to over 10mill in jan ,
