I'm * right now. Why no' give me a couple of years on a few grand a week, I'll be as much use as Sheridan and I'll also still be * in a few years just like Sheridan. Waste of wages tbh.

Sheridan is brutal...his first touch is rubbish and not gonna get any better...

seems like you havw made your mind up about the guy,,it will come back to poke you in the eye,,this young guy has bags of potentiol with the right service he can be top drawer,,end of. cant beleave people not willing to give guys a chance but would be happy risking 6m and 60 grand wages on a 31 year old.strange days

 

Only thing I would say about Sheridan is this, hes a young boy who apparently came reasonably late to the game.
He cam in the other season when we had a few injuries and tho he looked pretty raw, he still scored quite a few goals for the first team (think he was only 19 as well).

We've no saw much of him cos hes been out on loan for almost 18 months, but he did get a few goals for Motherwell and St Johnstone, and scored against the huns too, which a few other forwards we have cant seem to do.

The main endorsement for me though is the fact that Trappatoni played him in Ireland's 2 recent friendlies, beating Algeria and Paraguay, who are decent enough sides.
In my opinion Ireland are a better side than Scotland at the moment and I think they woud have did well at this world cup, as they are difficult to beat.

So weve a young boy at the club, one of the greatest managers ever has started to pick him for Ireland when they are decent (on to replace Keane and Kevin doyle - both guys who would walk into our team) and yet everybody seems to think hes * and to get rid.

As daft as it may sound, I thought the stupidest decision Strachan made January 2009 was letting sheridan go out on loan.
Our team could not score goals, we didnt sign a striker and there was nobody as back up to put pressure on the strikers.
Sheridan aint no world beater but he has got a nose for goal and I reckon he'd maybe have nicked us a few vital goals / points, we might have won the league. The huns would have been in such a nick we'd have walked the league again last year, then this year, year after, blah, blah, blah.

Anyway, to end this ramble, i reckon we should give the boy this year at least. I wouldnt have thought we'd make much money selling him, so what harm would it be to have him still here.
