Just spoke to a friend of mine in southampton who knows adam lallana well who plays for southampton he seems to think that rickie lambert to celtic deal is done for £2 million just thought i would let u know and see if people would be happy with this signing. i think the lad is a goalscorer and would score which ever league he plays in takes free kicks and pens aswell so i would be very happy with him pulling on the hoops. If this is true it would look like lennon had the job i think?

Not for me to much of a risk at £2m, where the guy scores plenty of goals against inferior opposition (brighton who have just released adam virgo!!)

Tbh I would rather have Stokes over any these English Lower League strikers, as we know Stokes can score in the Spl.

being honest in the current financial state of world football with all the big epl teams splashing all the cash us paying 2m for a proven strikers seems reasonable..

saints just raided brighton for right back offering him 15 grand a week so they have plenty of money i would like him but would also be happy with stokes boyd is super hero yet stokes nearly scored as many goals in spl thats without help ffrom refs

 

Lambert would never go to Celtic. Would want more than the £2mill touted as well. The guy is as close to Le tiss as I have seen, the way he hits the ball. Would bag you 5-10 goals from free kicks alone. No doubt would score loads in the scottish league. Compare him with Beckford, he has a much higher conversion rate. Beckford takes 6 chances to get a goal, Rickie is on target with much less. As well as his 40+ goals this season he is also leading our assist charts with over 20. What more could you want from your centre forward? numerous goals and assists.

 

So you think he wants to stay in the 3rd tier of English football at 28 instead of playing for a big club - chance to win trophies and playing in Europe? He would up here in a flash!
