I wish it was true that keane is staying because with a good manager & the right players around him he would get about 40 goals next season

I think if we got an experienced manager he could convince Keane to stay if Keano had experienced a champs lge night at cp he wouldn't want to leave.

i think he'd be tempted even with a paycut as long as it's the right offer, that's why i rambled on elsewhere on here about a possible player/manager spot for him - maybe not now but in the future. Build the team around him, guarantee that he'll always big the highest paid in SPL (albeit lower than what he gets now, Derm could even carve out a bit of share option deal and % merchandise etc.), workout a player/manager move as part of overall deal. If he was to stay, I think he could easily become one of our all-time greats. Mad? maybe, if so stump up the 65k and get him up here. He's good for 30 goals a season currently

I have also thought this from the day he signed for us. I think he is an honest enough guy to turn round take a pay cut just to pull on the hoops :icon_mrgreen:

if we are to get him , better be soon. we dont need him if hes not at his peak. i loved seeing him here but if he is planning on using celtic to finish his career at then, i want a couple of seasons out of him and that means signing now not later.

Not sure how much we can really glean from parsing a few words here and there, but don't like how he said "some day." I guess he's always viewed the loan strictly as that, and it's over now.

Hate to bet against a RoI international, but I hope the EPL offers he gets he finds unimpressive, and in the end he's overcome with nostalgia to play for the Hoops!

We appreciate what you did for Celtic last season, but it is over and out as far as I am concerned. What did he do to justify his wages in the two Old Firm games and the match against Ross County that mattered? Not a lot if I remember correctly!!!!!!

I'd like to see him back but only if he was willing to give us his better years left in him instead of the dregs of his career.

He won't be signing and I doubt he would take a pay cut when plenty epl clubs could match his current wage.

Even if there was a slight chance its over now guy's 10/14 million pound bids could be in the offering for Spurs from Villa/Everton . Game over we cant even come close to matching anything in that ball park , 6.million would have been a push for us with wages on top that alone we could have been looking at 15/20 mill for one player ,

if he was such a big celtic fan he would play for us for pennies he is a made man all the wages and transfer fees he has had over the years but transfer fee would be a problem
