I was only 4 and I always remember crying in my aunts house at the sheer volume of noise swearing and all sorts as my family watched the game. Was one of my first memories of celtic and not a good one can imagine being at that game must of been like a war zone.

Can't beleive that was 11 years ago now! That was a scary, scary day. It wasn't a derby atmosphere, it was... I always thought that being part of a lynch mob must feel like what that day did. Thank * they stopped allowing drinking before then, that's all I'm saying.

didnt the guy who fell off the tier that day he'd being going for a pie? at least thats what i heard lol! :56:

wasnt at the game, though remember watching it as a naive 11 year old on tv, until then i knew we didnt like each other, but that game crystalised the sheer level of hatred between the two teams for a young mind!

Don't think we'll ever see that amount of hatred in an OF game anytime soon

apparently he was a Celtic fan prior to playing for Rangers and he scored that night and celebrated in front of the Celtic support. Might explain your dad's fury:50::56:

yeah mccann was a lifelong celtic fan who countless times stated he'd love to join the club....then murray wafted some notes under his notes and judas escariot reared his head again.
the annoying thing was that he wasnt that great a player...the problem was that the standard of player at celtic park back then was shocking. malky mackay, brian o'neil etc etc
