Are you actually arguing that the reason why our fans like Paddy is because he looks like a hunger striker and is from Derry.

Look at Lubo our fans loved him and he was a slovak with no prior irish or celtic connections. We like creative players at this club. That is the reason McCourt is liked and rightly so.

If your using the same argument then how come Willow Flood got slaughtered (unfairly imo) by some of our fans and he was from Dublin.

His dribbling ability can be something phenominal. However, he needs to improve his fitness and stay injury free, and also realise that he can't win games all by himself. Every time he gets the ball he seems to think the best thing to do is just run towards goal. Doesn't pass enough.

 

But Lubo was a good footballer - what has Paddy actually done for Celtic? McCourt has been made into a legend because of his he is from Derry and is catholic. He is a cult hero for these reasons - look at the chants, there is an image, photoshopped, onto the side of a house proclaiming 'Paddy McCourt's * Army'

Willo Flood was never slaughtered and the fans nothinged him. He played far less than McCourt

I'm not saying that is the main reasons fan like McCourt but the fact that these chants have made him into this cult figure has blighted many fans views on his talents as a footballer

McCourt is a fans player an entertainer and the kinda guy you want to see do well....mainly because he reminds us all of some guy down the pub and therefore the kinda of player that makes you think maybe if i had of tried a little harder i could have made it.....

paddy he makes a few good runs and scored a FEW good goals against teams that are either tired or * or both and thats it, insanity making comparisons like that , and your from norn iron m8 com on.

 

Mc Court is a player with talent but thats it . he has done nothing at all to be compared to a great like George Best ,mc Court is a waster sooner the better he *'s off from the club the better .

 

Of course Paddys got flaws but he is very gifted and has the ability to succeed at this club i dont think people should be writing him off just yet

 

Nothing like the real "fans" showing their "support" for our team. It beggars belief how all the keyboard doctors, psychologists, fitness gurus and football scouts have the answers to everything yet the club apparentely struggle.Amazing..........
