the truth is BTG that your knowledge of continental football (as an entity - including fans and supporting) is mediocre, your arguments are feeble and have little to do with reality, you base your thinking on some bizarre stereotypes the roots of which are unknown to me.

if a picture sais a thousand words all I can add is:
    :31:
where I'm the smiley and the wall is your ignorance.

My argument is simply people on this forum thinking that their support is the best in the world. I really dont know what youre trying to get at in that novel you wrote on page 3, Polish fans for whatever reason would not travel in as many numbers if the WC was not in Germany, my argument is that the English would follow their country in consistantly high numbers where ever the WC was based. IMO Poland do not do the same.

Number 2, I can accept that there are obviously a few bad apples in every support, but in Polish football there seem to be many more bad apples than across the rest of Europe.. Its known that Eastern Europe has a hooligan element which is worse than the modernised West. No disrespect but Western Europe in sport and lifestyle as a whole is years ahead of where you currently are.

As a matter of fact it's England which had, has and will have the worst reputation in this matter. In the Nederlands and in Italy people get killed at stadiums and around them. Such things don't happen in Poland. We have very strong hooligan groups - professionalised, who train martial arts 7-10 times a week, but those are elite commandos - comparable to the likes of Head Hunters. They fight each other, don't fight on at stadiums etc.
But the difference as I see it - in PL and England - is that a majority of English are something like 'hoolifans' - they are all potentialy dangerous. In Poland you don't get something like that.

Its known that Eastern Europe has a hooligan element which is worse than the modernised West.
I know nothing of the "Eastern Europe" you refer to - I have no idea what you mean, as anyone who has basic knowledge of European football fans' scene knows that it's countries, not regions, that you can compare. Polish scene is totaly different from Czech, totaly different from East German, incomparable with Ukrainian scene. The modernised west, where England is an example of how to deal with hooliganism is also a bunch of states in which different things happen. I can assure You that the lyrics of songs sung in England, Holland or Spain, the writings on flags etc. - most of them would never appear in Poland, as they are too vulgar/violent/sectarian/racist.

No disrespect but Western Europe in sport and lifestyle as a whole is years ahead of where you currently are.
No disrepect, but that is yet another proof for me that you are just an ignorant Briton. It's funny that only English and as I see Welsh as well, use arguments like that. In the all-European football fans' forums or in specific national forums (I know the Spanish scene the most, coz my Polonia and Real Zaragoza are allied) you don't hear such things. At least - not from people who haven't been/seen the outside world.

You've also written: No disrespect but Western Europe in sport and lifestyle as a whole is years ahead of where you currently are.

So I don't want to be where you are. You're years ahead? I just want to mention that you're the only one who called someone 'fool' in this thread. Is this your western lifestyle you're talking about? :38: congratulations

and oh... when I said 'Your picture shows how defenceless you are facing Hangover's post' I meant that one -> :56:

But I won't call you 'fool'. My eastern jerkwater lifestyle gives me no permission to call you like that.

You see my words may be vulgar sometimes but I'm far away from calling somebody I talk to 'fool'/'*'/'*' etc.
Beacuse here in the east we think it's rude.

I would compare your behaviour to greeks. When I was to Greece they were always talking about their culture etc. They were saying that we should thank them for forks and knifes beacuse they've invented them (if you can't understand it - it's metaphor of culture). So I ask... why almost every greek eats only with his hands?

the British football hooligan intelligence department of the police has been working over time to wean out 3,000 or so that is banned from football grounds and other venues for the month before the world cup. the 20 that got arrested slipped though the checks.
