why do people hate maggie thatcher so much??

Just looking for a bit of info on this

i always here people saying shes a cow and singing songs about her but i was born 1989 so dont really no much about her

any info would help

she brung terror to the people in Ireland, and she stopped the milk for the kids, stopped apprenticeships etc, shut down factory's.

Scotland used to have a thing called shipyards. Then thatcher came.

although it could be argued that crushing the Trade Unions was necessary as they were getting too big for their own boots.

Everyone praises Thatcher for the Falklands but it was her fault that the Argentinians tried to take it. Britain used to have a navy boat that would sit just off the Falklands to stop Argentinian invasion and to signify a British presence. Thatcher decided it would be smart to remove the ship. Argentina then think Britain dont care about Falklands therefore invaded. This war cost a large sum of money to fight and numerous people died because of Thatchers decision to remove this boat yet some still praise her for the Faklkands

 

The Falklands should be handed back. The Empire days are over.

you will find she is hated mainly in places such as Ireland, Scotland and the north of England

im young to so much of my info ive heard is from other people

 

i agree - why is there any need for Britain to have the Falklands islands? You only have to look at its geographical location to realise that we have no right to it

 

that * * has the blood of a lot of good men and women in the north of Ireland on her hands,may the devils * * rot in whatever * she finds herself in.
