agreed Joe - he's never been an attacking or creative midfielder but his role is valuable to the team. Still the best we have in that position with Keane gone

I for one dont have much knowledge of Sno but given some of the manic reactions on here sometimes isnt it better to stick with what u know that to throw someone untried in at the deep end?

Fair enough, I don't think we need a DMC for the SPL. We could play with Petrov/Jarosik and both could take turns.

And Petrov is a better DMC than Lennon is. So he's not the best we have in that position, IMO.

Sounds good to me and make Petrov Captain. I know some people hate him, but if he knuckles down and withdraws his transfer request would everyone get behind him. We need all the quality we can get imo.

His days are over.He offers little and I agree with most of your comments. He will have no place in Strachan's vision of how he wants Celtic to play.We cannot contemplate playing CL football with Neil in the midfield. For a few years he was excellent but his time has gone.

Wake up and smell the (2) transfer requests mate. Petrov doesn't want to be here and the signing of Jarosik has moved him closer to the exit door. Until we sign a player better than Lennon as a defensive midfielder he needs to stay. This is not sentimentality just common * sense.

P.S. Any * that claims you have to had played the game to understand it, I've got one word for you - Mourinho.

According to skysports news, strachan has said that lennon will sign a contract on Friday and that petrov will still be here at the start of the season. He also mentioned there could be another 3/4 signings still to come plus kadlec has a 50/50 chance of signing.

Good news about Lennon, but if Petrov stays he better play out of his skin or he'll get it tight.
