    Says what in the article?

It really doesn't matter if money hasn't been exchanged.

If your wife caught you with another woman's knickers off, you couldn't use 'but I haven't shagged her yet' as an excuse.

From the evidence av read and watched it clearly shows we john and the other * rubbing there hands just about to pick up a we healthy cheque for £140 grand a piece and it clearly shows him smiling and saying ITS EASY!!!! A dont believe in this russian or ukranian mafia they have thrown in to the works to try and take the heat off there selves, its quite clear what they were upto the evidence doesnt lie and if you were to show that to a court a think the only verdict would be guilty!!!

A also dont think the money was for struggling players in the game??? A really dont know how someone can come to a conclusion like that, and to be honest thats probly 1 of the most ridiculas statements a have ever read on this forum.

I'm trying my hardest not to believe this is true mate but come on to *, that is the biggest pile of crap I have ever heard.

John Higgins is taking bribes to help out penniless snooker players, are you being serious?

    JC147,
What an incredible theory you have come up with, it even beats Higgins own version of being spooked.
Did you view the video ? did you ever see a guy who was supposedly spooked behaving so comfortably and in control of the conversation.
Another example of greed and corruption, and what the * does it matter that it was the world series and not the current championshi, the smell is equally obnoxious.

I agree what he did was wrong completely.

But, in fairness, he's only swindling money from the bookies, and we all love doing that. If the bookies are silly enough to take on on INDIVIDUAL frames in some wee diddy tournament, then they deserve all they get.

Besides, every one of us on here had probably put a bet on at the bookies at a better price than we think, but in reality the bookies know they stealing money.

He's only swindling money from bookies? Where are you getting that from?

If it is true he is ripping the heart out of competitive professional snooker. The game will be absolutely worthless if this is confirmed.

I'm very disappointed to hear that John Higgins has got himself involved in something like this. As a Scot and a Celtic fan I feel he has let us all down with act of stupidity.

Having watched that video I believe it's the end of John's career..
It might not have got to the signed sealed and delivered stage where money was actually dropped into his lap and an agreement made on which frames would be thrown , but it looks as though he was at the testing the water stage to see what was on offer and would probably still have to give serious consideration to going through with it which in all likelyhood , he could still have refused to do...
As far as Im concerned he's guilty of being involved in underhand business discussions , agreeing in principle to making a hefty wad of cash from cheating the sport and cheating anyone who takes an interest in snooker.. He hasn't actually commited the crime itself so there was definately still a way out for him (would still have been difficult though) but I think his "Tiger Woods" like statements that deflect the blame is just digging a deeper hole..
