There are a few that have already caught my expert eye. The left back for Ivory Coast,Boka looks a very good defender altho small but quick and determined and playing for Strasborg would surely join the Hoops if wanted.

Paraguays Valdez is also a gd player wos the best player on the park easily and isnt getting a game with Breman as Klasnic and Klose are their strikers

Other potential and gd signings would be a few Mexicans as they are a gd side,4th in the world. Omar Bravo is a gd striker for them, bagged 2 goals against the mighty Iran. The one that is there star man I belive did not start, Fonseca ,10goals in 10games in there qualifying and has been linked to big European Clubs. With BBJ on the verge of leaving either Fonseca, or Valdez would be very gd affordable signings

Man City were after Omar Bravo, but they could not get a work permit for him. So he looks unlikely to join any British club for now.

Valdez, we would not get him on the cheap to be honest.

What about Mahdavikia, the iranian midfielder, i was impressed with his performance v Mexico.

Eight years ago the 28-year-old Hamburg midfielder etched his name in Iranian football folklore by scoring in the famous 2-1 victory over the United States in World Cup 1998.

"I'm exceptionally pleased with the players from Germany. Mahdavikia has had an outstanding season."
    Branko Ivankovic. Iran Coach

That goal, the winner v USA proved as important for the player as his country, earning Mahdavikia a move to the Bundesliga where he has plied his trade with distinction ever since, making him his country's most successful footballing export.
In 1999 Mahdavikia moved to Hamburg, where he remains to this day, and earned Player of the Year accolades in 2003 and 2004.
The adoring HSV faithful dub him 'Das Teppich' (The carpet) for his ability to glide past defenders like a persian rug from mythical times.
Injuries affected his performances in 2004/2005 when he found himself on the substitutes' bench, but he came back last season strongly creating more assists than any other Bundesliga player.
Though almost certain to play in midfield the 2003 Asian Player of the Year can also play at full back, so is likely to be as important helping the shaky Iran defence in his own half as in the attacking third.
Mahdavikia found himself embroiled in a bigamy scandal in April and Iranian fans will hope this does not distract him from performances on the field, though a slight back injury is more of a concern making him unable to play in any pre-tournament friendlies. Fans of Team Melli will no doubt be hoping their golden boy is fully fit. Their country's chances of qualification to the second round may depend on this.

I thought the big guy Andre (Angola) strolled through the game against Portugal. He's an absolute monster but gets about the park. Very comfortable on the ball also.

Andre Macanga is the undoubted unsung hero of the Angolan side.
Playing the unfashionable defensive midfield role, the 27-year-old is the foundation on which the Palancas Negras build their attacks.
While the likes of Paulo Figueiredo, Ze Kalanga and Antonio Mendonca are given license to attack, Macanga is asked to play a responsible 'Makelele role'.
One of the few players to have sought a move away from Portugal, Macanga moved to Turkish side Gaziantepspor before finding his way to current employers Koweit Club Sport.
Earlier spells with Boavista, Vitoria Guimaraes and Academica Coimbra have given him a sound grounding in his positional play - which will be priceless in the World Cup.
Coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves relies on his midfield general to provide the first line of resistance in front of his defence, and he was a regular in the qualifying campaign.
Macanga's ability to break up play allows the likes of Paulo Figueiredo to go forward, and he would be a largely irreplaceable figure in the squad.

Definately a few lads at Angola might be worth a look, although work permits could be a problem.

I like the look of him, the lure of CL could be big. Pricetag of 2.5 million pounds as out of contract next year. A lot of interest in this guy though.
