as some have mentioned i dont fancy many of those teams, tbh zenit are not what they used to be and are doing horifically in the league, scrap that lol they are top after 10 games and have lost 6 points, well id like to miss zenit and ajax especially, tbh out of the teams the one i am most confident of getting a victory is surprisingly Fenerbache, them and galatasaray have been falling for a few years i think we could beat them.

As for Braga anyone that comes above Porto means they are a decent side.

all depends on who we bring in the summer player wise and manager wise, cant see lennon doing well in europe at all, tactically hes not up to it, we have a chance with the right team and manager

Zenit, Ajax, Dynamo Kiev, Braga or Fenerbache

Dont know what zenit are like nowadays, but not keen on another russian team

Def not Ajax they have scored * loads this season, the have some daft GD, no chance beating them

Kiev not sure what they are like, same with Braga but must be quite good beating porto and benfica to the leauge

Dont know much about febernache, they might be the best out of a hard bunch

It's not about support, it's about writing properly and not sounding like a ned.

Depending on where the 1st leg is I think we should try damage limitation away and then try and beat them at home.We as a club always seem to do well as underdogs Ajax,Man U,Barca,Milan,Juve eg. and then screw up when we're favourites ie. Anderlecht and Aalborg. It's definitely going to be hard but it could be a blessing in didguise.

Losing this seeding is just another step along the road to a future with no Champions League football at Celtic Park. Before long even the winners of the SPL will be unseeded in the qualifying rounds. The future looks bleak as far as Champions League qualification goes. :54:

Well unless other countries perform * in the CL. thats what makes our taks more difficult, the poor performance of scottish teams as a whole. We are just below the threshold atm. Cannot lose anymore ground.

What makes a * of Scottish teams in Europe is work permits. Belgium don't need them. You only have to be in Turkey 2 years to gain one. You dont need them to play in Holland. These countries teams, can effectively buy anybody, but we can only buy people from the EU, which cost an absolute fortune.

I think that we could have got a better striker from Africa/S.America for a fraction of the price of fortune.

The 50% tax law in the U.K. now means that we will lose out to these so called 'lesser' teams because the players are getting payed whats in their contracts.

Hopefully we'll get better luck with the draw next season, really couldn't have been any tougher than Dynamo Moscow then Arsenal.

It's not that bad. If we win the league this season we'll have a much better chance of getting into the cl next season even though the coefficient is way down. Right now we're in the qualifying round for non champions clubs (Spurs, Sevilla, Zenit etc.). Celtic aren't as good as these teams. We'll struggle in the first round against the likes of Ajax and Dynamo Kiev never mind the play off round against Spurs, Sevilla, Werder Bremen, Auxerre and Sampdoria. But next season only 1 scottish team can get in and whoever it is (hopefully celtic), will avoid the likes of these teams as we'll be playing in the Champions qualifying round against the champions of the lesser countries. The hardest team we could get would probably be the Belgian or Swiss champions. We'd start off in the 2nd round and could end up playing the likes of Linfield (which would hopefully be about 10-0 on aggregate). Then progress to the next round and still hopefully get an easy tie against the likes of the Hungarian champions. The play off would be the last round but again the hardest team we could get paired with would be the Swiss, Belgian or even Danish champions, who wouldn't be that hard to beat. In the play off round at the start of the 09/10 season, Sheriff, who are from Moldova got to the play off round. That shows how easy it is. However, we'd actually have to win the league this season to have any chance of cl football for 11/12.

Zenit, Ajax, Dynamo Kiev, Braga or Fenerbache

Any of them is a tough draw, Braga may be a name not many people know but they are superb! I would maybe take Ajax, if Luis Suarez leaves them as he is prolific for them
