:97: Are our kits going to be designed by GAP next year. I don't care what this guy owns..if this is true and he wants to invest money into the club then more power to him.

I dont know if he means John Fisher or Eddie Jordan or if hes just * with all of us

Edit: After reading each of the names mentioned Wiki page I really hope it's Denis O'Brien, the man helped pay for Trappatoni's wages and is worth an estimated 2.2 billion dollars, obviously a football fan and proud of being Irish...now he's just chilling in Malta cuz he doesnt have to pay taxes. So get him and Desmond to put there money together and actually put it to good use and the sky is the limit.

Mate, the club advertise themselves for investment 24/7

Call it begging or good business, falls under the same umbrella, and we are a club in shear desperation for an injection into the club.

Another thing, I would be skeptical of any of these rumours.

Why would anyone want to invest in Celtic, Rangers or any other Scottish club.... ???

To invest, you would be looking to gain profitable financial returns through interest. this cant be done in Scottish football. The guys fore mentioned, are businessmen, successful businessmen, I dont see why they would be looking to invest in Celtic. Does Desmond heavily invest year in year at Celtic, billionaire or not.... ??? the answer is no!

Is Eddie Jordan not involved in QPR....!?!?!

i know we fork out for books, merchandise etc ,but if the fans donated a tenner to go towards new signings then that would generate a few quid cant suffer watching the blue noses winning every year

I heard John Fisher the guy who owns gap and also owns an airline company aswell if this is true then its good news all round i would say this possibly would mean we would have more funding in the summer for players. I hope Lennon gets the job a she team are now winning.

Im not so sure. Of course i would love for some billionaire to come and give us a huge investment, but the reality of it is kind of limited.. I know theres not too much money to be won in the SPL, and the domestic cups, so if he wants a return on any investment, then he would be looking at serious competition in Europe, as well as winning everything in scotland!

The thought of it is very interesting and exciting, but unlikely. However, il definatly accept it if it comes along!

About everyone donating a tenner for a transfer kitty.. well, if you get 60k ( CP Capacity ), then for talks sake add another 60k on top of that, thats 120k. So if everyone chips in a tenner, that would be £1.2M to spend... And as if we dont already pay enough for merch, we have a Celtic shop located all round scotland ( not sure about England ), so Celtic must be making mega bucks as a buisness!

Billionaires willing to invest that amount of money in a team they have no real emotional attachment are only doing so as it is fashionable right now. Why, then, would someone plump for an SPL team when they could buy an EPL team? To be honest i would rather continue the prudent spending than have some billionaire fling money at us and rip the soul out of our traditions e.g Glazers at Man Utd
