I agree with a fair few others, I'd rather see someone that's better than both of them.

2 different types of players imo, do you like this type of apple or this type of orange....

Thomson is more of a holding midfielder, I'd have him over N'Guemo or Crosas. For one reason and another, both of them arent good enough for Celtic/SPL.

    Hail Hail our captain.

Some people are just hard to please. Forget about the price tag and just look at his performances.

How the * is it an excuse????? Noone sane could judge him early season when he was playing with a bad injury. Noone sand can judge him for being out for several months until February. Noone sane can judge a guy who has never been fit all season on a few weeks he had before he hit a long suspension. There is no way he can be judged on this season. Its been an injury and suspension write off for him until the last few weeks. That being so you have to look back to the last season and people have conveniently forgotten he was POTY then.

Between his comeback in Feb and his suspension (only a few weeks) he looked rusty, no denying that but its hardly surprising for a player who had not been injury free between May 2009 and Feb 2010 (9 months). So, I think its only fair to judge him since his suspension and I think he has looked much improved in that period. He is a decent player but imperfect, rather like most of our players - Fortune, Sammy, Aidan etc. I think players with flaws is simply a symptom of our lack of money.

I would rather have thompson on the basic of we need a midfielder who can control a game. When thompson isn't acting like a thug he is a good player very strong in the tackle, good passer, lovely left foot and good delivery at set-pieces. I have being massively disappointed with brown and still don't know what he brings to the team apart from energy.
