His investment in Celtic has cost him just under £90million pounds, all of these figures can be gotten if you have the time to search on google, that's a pretty hefty investment.

Lennoxtown was financed through another share issue, DD financed £10million of the £15million on offer.

    Redbaz bud!

what you said, I read Lenny's comments (who I respect greatly) in the record this morning mate, and I thought the exact same.

I thought Charlie Nic was just saying what everyone else was thinking mate.

But I thiink Lenny was more asked the question about Charlie Nics coments, rather than releasing a statement, so I think he was backed into a corner, and was never going to cut off his own air supply by agreeing with Charlie and putting his own future in major doubt at the club.

But I agree mate, I still think Charlie Nic was 100% correct...

How you doing anyways mucker.... ???

agree but DD is worth roughly £1.5 Billion , it wouldn't hurt him to give abit more here and there , for eg if were in a bidding war with say a low table EPL team and the CLUB doesnt have the extra bit of dosh to pull it off id EXPECT desmond to maybe put a few bob in of his own cash to capture the player , he doesnt have to go out and buy 4 or 5 players just give the club some backup in those situations AND actually turn up to the clubs AGM meetings for once

I think with the Ins and Outs this season guys, from the beggining till now, I think the board spent a total of £2/3M in all...

Thats all about opinions also, I dont see that as great backing, just wish they never rewarded failure by apointing Mogga as manager, thats what they are mpst guilty of this season...

The board have done so well , for me they have made one mistake, a big one saying that, in appointing Neil they will have made up for that.

Its all bullshit yous are talking about DD.He is one smart guy and he doesnt have 1.5 billon cash, thats all his assets and they can easily go pear shaped in this recession bollloks.
You just have to look at the richest guy in ireland a few weeks ago ,you prob have more money than him now

I dont understand how some fans can complain about DD. Some are mentioning not signing Fletcher last Jan.

Celtic as a club spend club money, not DD's money. He has done good things for Celtic like the training complex. Why should he plough his own money into the club. There is absolutely no return. The club have to try and spend their money better. TM was given great backing and just made an * of the whole thing. The next manager will be given more money in the summer. But like Lennon said "Some of them players will not be here next season"

I think Lennon was right to make these comments, Charlie Nicholas is not close enough to what is going on within the Club.

there is a reason he is a multi-billionaire - he doesn't fling money away and hope things turn out well. Who's to say he hasn't put in a few millions in terms of signing players - there is no way of knowing. The man doesn't even accept the money Celtic owe him each years as being a major shareholder - puts it straight back into the club. I think Mowbray should be blamed for our current mess, whilst the board are paying for their one only error back in Jan 2009
