sorry if this is a thread [IMG]

it seems every time this young boy plays nobody can handle him he has electric pace maybe need to practise on his scores ablity but he is a very impressve player hope he starts more often you never no he could be our saviour one day for prime exsample rapid he riped them to shreads and every spl game he plays great work rate alway haveing a crack a goal .

is it just me that thinks our reserves could play better than most of our first team players after all there is class to be proven hope the youngsters on loan come back and prove there the next best thing : misun, mizuno, ki, ferry, conroy, hutchinson, sheridan prime exsamples of great players goin to waste

left back mate;) and some a think are quite decent prospects, but until we see them in the first team under the pressure that comes with it we wont know how good they really are

Graham Carey is a midfielder is he not?

And I doubt I would call McGowan a great player. Does well for the reserves and played well at home, but was totally anonymous away. But you're right, he did well against Rapid.

he's usually a winger, but mcpherson uses him as a left wing back in a 3-5-2 normally :50:

Carey isnt a left back, With the reserves he has been playing as a winger, thinkg mcpherson is using him as a wingback in a 3-5-2

McGowan is one of the many hangers-on around the club, lad is 22 and no longer a 'youngster'... he couldnt buy a game, never mind a goal at Hamilton when Rocco Quinn was playing week in, week out! Added to that his attitude towards supporters outside Parkhead after the St Mirren disaster was nothing short of shocking! You would think the guy had done something in his life as opposed to score in a meaningless Europa League game, appear in a meaningless CL game and score a dozen goals in a 2nd division Morton team!

The guys mince. Pure as. Would much rather see our other young strikers in the reserves/19's get a game, and not let their talent and potential go to waste. It would also help with the u21 rule which by all accounts Lennon is struggling with.

On the same note tho... he says hes struggling with it yet naming McGowan as a sub! Would have been easy to drop him out and name one of the internationalists he mentioned leaving out!

Lennon hasn't changed anything about the team, same formation, same way of playing.... Samaras wide, Fortune up top until last night when he had no option but to change after Saturdays debacle! By getting rid of Mogga and giving Lennon the job the board have merely kept the wolves from the door until summer!

Rasmussen was signed as a goalscorer yet even Lennon minimises the guys playing time, 1-1 last night chasing a goal and Fortune was the idea in the guys head....

Don't really see anything in McGowan to make me think he deserves to be in the first team, plus his attitude seems to be totally guff.

However, I do reckon there are a few (like Carey and Misun) who should be pressing for the first team soon enough.

He was on the bench last night.... wasnt an immediate ban! Also, you cant paper over cracks with one match.... Killie at CP, Hibs, Ross County.... what was his combined play time? 15 mins?

    * your right, he was! I would have said Fortune is more a player to break down a defence, then a Rasmussen type to come off the bench when the defence is tired and knock in from close range. Last night, in my opinion, as it was still only 1 goal in it and the service from out wide crap, Fortune was brought on for his all round play and to hold the ball up (which he did quite well on a couple of occasions).
