This will be the 1st time I think in 20 years the Port Celtic will not be running a bus to a home game on Tuesday night..... sad, sad day!

I will not be there, as well as several family members and frinds, most have had books most of their lives, but enough is enough!

Season book prices continue to rise, yet the quality on the pitch deteriorates, this whole fallacy about the "CELTIC FAMILY" is gone now. Celtic is purely a business, and as run as such, and as customers, we are being conned rotten!

At this moment in time I will not be renewing my book, and there are many many more like me, simply for the fact we have had enough!

(I await the onslaught of some Celtic fans coming onto this thread saying they will renew their books no matter what, Im not a real Celtic man etc....)

The reality is, I have better uses now of my time and hard earned money than watch that * week in week out.

Been a bad bad season, but this has been coming for some time now!

I'm renewing. I'm not going to stop going because we're bad at the minute, even if the squad is full of imposters. It's still Celtic.

I will be renewing mine due to the fact that I wont stop going just because we are pish imo supporters should support there team . But I cant lie it that it has'nt crossed my mind I sometimes can't justify my mate who is a Dundee United fan paying £275 for a season ticket and me paying £500 for mine dosn't add up . I'm sure the good times will come again they always do .

You are no more a Celtic man than myself mate, never have been, never will be.

But its guys like yourself, maybe, who will blindly buy their book, with no reason, no matter what, that will allow the board to continually raise prices and drop the quality on the pitch.

Im looking to the future, Im looking at reality, and in my eyes, over the past 7 years, the quality has decreased, yet the prices have risen, you do the math mate.

Are you happy with that though, as its still Celtic after all. Would you let anyone else rip you off in the real world the way Celtic have. Its a shocking state of affairs at Celtic Park, and the money men are bleeding the fans dry.

Ive been in the same boat as you for the past 2/3 seasons bud.

But for me enough is enough.

I just think Scottish football as a whole is on its knees mate, i cant ever see the quality of Larsson, lubo etc... return, our past 2 managers have been relegated from the Prem League or out of work, the quality just is not coming anymore, and the prces go up, while attendances, pitches, opposition deteriorates mate, i juts cant see it getting any better to be honest pal.

Dont compare us to Liverpool mate.

Liverpool Season books are not that much more expensive than ours, yet they have quality opposition, guys like Torres in their team, spending big money etc...

We are in a league on its last breath... If you read my post, it says this has been ongoing for the past 7 years, quality diminishing, while prices rise.

Everyone is entitled to what they want to spend there money on so I dont grudge anybody for saying enough is enough . Its a bit of a catch 22 we dont sell tickets we dont have money for players on top of what little we have already , then on the other hand we have a full CP with two or three good signings , a good manager a possible winning team it can swing both ways mate so I'm sticking with it .

There will be two seats in block FS5 available.. after a couple years sitting in the pishing rain in the temp stand and around 7 years or season books, it's time to give it a miss and go to the odd away game where there might actually be an atmosphere.

Not been for a few games now and my Step Dad has informed me he's not renewing next year and I don't think I'll bother either. 300 mile round trip every second week + midweek european games is taking it's toll on the wallet.

Football used to be something I went to watch when I wanted to be happy, to get away from the crap of society and work etc.. Now it's becoming a chore to watch Celtic. Very rarely will I walk away from the ground happy and jubilent about what I've just witnessed.

Until something drastically changes, I wont be back.

I know mate, totally understand bud

But when you say: If we dont sell tickets, then we dont have money on top of little what we already have!

Celtic right now arnt selling themselves to us mate, and the picture for me is bleak in Scottish football right now.

Before I spend my money renewing my book, I think the BOARD should make the commitment of a new manager, along with money for new signings, as i am sick going blindly into the new season not knowing what direction we will be going

I'll renew, but it will be a struggle financially. And as Nimrod said, it also crossed my mind not to renew. I'm at the end of my tether, but things will get better, and I'm willing to stick it out for the time being.

It's an emotive subject to be sure.
After Saturday's debacle I seriously considered it (not to renew my season book), but every team has to endure a bad season and we are all in it together.
What irked me so much was some of the players need to understand that the season finishes at the final whistle in May.
Some of them thought they were on their holly bols before a ball was kicked on Saturday, with the knowledge that turning up meant a win and sending the pesky highlanders back to sheep * land.
Finishing second is nothing in Scotland, but we need to rebuild, remain strong and loyal for the foreseeable, and this season will become a distant memory - roll on August

    Ok

So lets say they continue to get worse....

i.e. playing staff continues to get worse year by year, no big singnings, no money for wages or transfers, more imposters - yet the prices continue to rise....

Its still Celtic - are you 2 still going to blindly buy books and support this regime ???

I`ll be renewing, but I can understand why many wont be.

The club needs our support (and money) more than it has needed it in a long time.

I hate contributing to the wages of those duds and tickets have always been a rip off, but It would be a real shame if CP was half empty next season cos we havent won the league in a while.

    You're right.

it will get better, because after being humped 4-0 by st mirren and 2-0 by ross county in the semi final of the scottish cup, it really only can get better.

I agree completly bud, 2nd aint the worst thing etc...

What Im saying is, that we cant attract the tallent to Scotland any more, my gripe isnt this season, not at all actually, this is just part of the problem dude.

My gripe is, will the quality continue to worsen while the prices rise.

this is the way its been gradually over the past 7 years, and thats a fact...

what gives the confidence that things will get better.
