If we flog Brown and bring in Gomis from United then our central midfield will be instantly twice as good.

that was my point, good player but we were still robbed, think the huns got a bargain with thomson, although they've ruined a fantastic attacking midfielder imo

I don't think there's a case for him being here next season tbh.

Every time I think of his more memorable games they have tended to come in Scottish blue or Hibernian green, with very few for Celtic. I suspect that when he moves on he may well prove a popular success, if he moves to teams, even a mid level EPL side, where there is not the same level of expectation demanded as there is when playing for Celtic.

Were I the new manager I would be more receptive to listening to offers for Brown than I would for any of our other higher profile playing assets, such as Boruc or Hinkel.

Thomson has never looked the same since his 8 month injury, its a shame since he looked so promising.

Every fan has a player that they just dont like, mine is scott brown he cant pass, cant tackle, closes down as an individual leaving massive gaps in the central midfield, should try and recoup the money for him. i really wanted to sign him but he hasnt learned anything!!

ps, Thomson has never looked the same since his 8 month injury, its a shame since he looked so promising.

    * couldnt give a * about this cheating *!!! get a grip!!! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

He is one of the imposters that should be out the door in the summer.

He has great energy, but so does my dog.
And those who think he gets stuck in,wise up,getting stuck in means making crunching tackles and actually winningthe ball, inspiring team mates when times are bad.
Brown does not do this,he runs about kicking and yapping and gets booked for being an idiot.

    Time to go.

We paid a very similar amount for Fortune and he hasnt exactly been a great signing, I would expect more from Fortune. Brown gives 100% which cant be faulted, take him away and he will have lost the spine of the team. (Hartley,Robson) He gets silly bookings which must be dealt with because that was one of the reasons we lost to Rangers a few weeks ago. People are saying he's *, absolutely bollicks, as much as people joke about Scotland being a crap national team you wouldn't get picked for the first unless you had something. He has had a dissapointing season, fair enough, but so has McGeady, Boruc, (to a certain extent) N'guemo, Samaras, Loovens, Naylor should I continue? Nobody this year has really done the bussiness except Keane and Hinkel who has been one of our most consistent players imo. Ive seen enough of Brown over the last few years to know he has ability, Lennon must also see what im seeing because he was made captain.

I agree with this. I don't think Brown and N'Guemo work particularly well as a partnership. They both give the ball away too often and if you have two central midfield players who don't pass the ball well then you will have problems.

I would either move Broony out to right midfield and play Crosas & N'Guemo in the middle again or else I would drop Broon and play Crosas & N'Guemo in the middle. I was quite impressed with the partnership N'Guemo and Crosas had going.

No chance. I'd much rather have Broony than Gomis.

Giving 100% is a bare minimum requirement.

You really think this guy is the spine of our team?

    He's a pig in a poke mate.

    First out the door.

scott brown is dire, runs about like a headless chicken, cant make simple passes, sits behind the centre backs at times. waste of 4 million, hope he goes in the summer.

Scott Brown is a good player, not a great player. I think he has the ability to be great player but not in the SPL. Like a lot of players being in a small league, when you are playing the same teams week in, week out, you must get fed up.

Its great when you are winning and the team is solid with no disruptions. But as soon as it gets tough, a lot of players switch off because they feel they are above the SPL!! McGeady sees to be feeling it as well. Especially with all the transfer talk about the two.

Mind you Brown admitting he cant wait til McManus comes back to take over as captain kind of says it all :87:
