I feel youvare right with your valuation with the current state of the club.the thing is if aiden is worth 4 or 5 what about the likes of brown sammy or fortune who will be worth less and have to leave the club

 

4mil? We'll be lucky who in their right mind would pay 4million for a player who can't do it against a Scottish 1st division team?

 

Yeah because good players never have an off day. They are clearly all useless because they didn't play well against Ross Co.

 

An off day? He seems to have to many off days this season. He is supposed to be our main play maker and against teams like Ross County, Mcgeady should be controlling the game the way Messi does for Barcelona. (And no im not comparing him to Messi).

why?

 

he has given up on celtic , as have many other players, they're attitudes are appauling

 

mcgeady plays best when the rest of the team is playing good, when people are being tactically aware, getting into open space, ready for his crosses and passes, hes a great player, and even if he isnt a goal threat, he is big enough a diversion to set somebody else up

perfect examples were killie then the hibees, killie he played excellent then at hibees, his performance dropped, and why was this? every cross he made (save 1 or 2) were in great places in the box, but we had 3 strikers working the back post, so nobody connected

i forget at which point in the game he crossed into an open area in the box right in front of the keeper, and NOBODY made even the slightest move for it, fortune couldve turned it in easily

 

Oh aye sell our only possible attacking threat from the midfield.

He's the one player who can unlock an SPL defence when they are sitting on there own goalline you people need to ask yourself who we can bring in on our budget who can do that as well as he dose on form.

Every single player this season has been completely and utterly * and inconsitant so why the * have you all managed to pick out mcgeady?

I think I can answer that it's because he is the only one who trys to do something with the ball to open these teams up when it dosen't come off the amount of stick he gets is disgraceful and he's probably been hearing these same insults from the fans all season.

He is a celtic fan and was probably hurting just as much as everyone else up at parkhead that day and once again you have all these old * giving him the same abuse he has had all season so he's just snapped same with O'dea.

Aiden has supported celtic all his life and is just as much a celtic fan as you and me, how you can all speak like that about not only one of the most talanted members of our squad but a fellow tim You should be ashamed.

But the fans need a whipping bhoy I guess.

 

Move him on and hopefully we get a price as big as his ego .

 

mcgeady can't pass, shoot, control the ball, has less pace with each passing season and has never fulfilled his potential. He is the most over-rated player in scottish football right now and consistently fails to produce. He has never put in a performance against the huns and struggles against any top 6 spl opposition. Cant step up to the big time and has been poor for 3 whole seasons now. Strachan knew exactly what he was like - an arrogant wee * who thinks he's bigger and better than celtic and the fans. He bleats on about moving on to a better league etc and shows little commitment and fight. For me he is treated too well by the fans, who will boo any other player, particularly samaras, yet mcgeady can get away with his constant poor displays. You watch a game at parkhead and you know what he is going to do before he does it - normally the usual trick which, if he does manage to beat the player, results in him cutting inside and dragging a weak shot 4-5 yards wide. Can't help but feel his decision to play for ireland has blinded many fans in terms of his ability. Just my opinion

 

Thinks he made it because he's scored against rangers. Time for him to grow up. I'd get rid of him, I could see his petted lip from the back of the stand yesterday and when the petted lip is out....theres no point having him on the park!!

 

Yip Aiden is our version of Barry Ferguson a petulant little * , Move him on in the summer if anybody is daft enough to pay good money for him .

 

As people have said, McGeady is a winger yet he cant shoot or cross. How people are throwing figures of around £10m + around, is beyond me.

The most important attribute of a winger, end product - he hasn't got it.

Pace, skill, dribbling, are all important but if there's no end product - it's all worthless.


I would honestly snap the hand off £5m, although slighty lower bids would tempt me.

 

He's * , iv been hearing that if we give him more time his end product will develop but iv seen no signs of that

 

what a lot of * mcgeady didnt have the best of games ok i agree he was awful but a couple of seasons adian was carrying the team when mcgeady was not on form celtic where pish an on form mcgeady i wuld hav over any other british player at the moment

 

McGeady is a greetin faced .NO end product, Sandancer little NED - If we get even £1m for him in the summer we should take it. This over hyped wonder kid was finally found out Yesterday for what he's worth. - They should all be made to buy ONE WAY tickets on a plane out of here. sick of the * lot of them....Rant over,

While I agreed McGeady has been poor this season, we have changed the system, he doesn't have the same space to work in. We have players on boths sides of the pitch pulling into space he would have normally ran into, this means he is trying to beat more players and losing the ball as a result. We need to go back to 2 main strikers and let him do what he does best. So keep him just now, other players need moved on first ie fortune & Sammy, maybe Brown..
