    To talk about McStay.

It is no mean feat to win the reserves league 9 in a row TBH. The fact he has a winning mentality has to be something. Who would have thought David Moyes would do well in management.

Willie McStay can not be dismissed because he has done more things right in management that he has did wrong.

That’s all that matters really, if you can manage then it don't matter where it is at, don't knock McStay with having no experience just because it is reserves.

If Mcstay is the manager next season we will be in a worse state than with Mowbray and the fans will not come back in many amounts, Lennon is only choice if its an internal appointment.

The fact as i keep saying McStay has NEVER been offered job before, why is this???? yes he was good at reserves but who cares that is his level.

In all honesty I'm sick of people using Guardiola as an argument that a manager with no experience can be successful at Celtic.

Guardiola inherited a team consisting of the best players in the world. Along with the rest of the clubs set-up, which is of course nothing short of world class.

Comparing an inexperienced manager being successful at Celtic and Guardiola is completely unrealistic, for reasons above and many, many other factors.

Then why didn't Rijkaard win every possible trophy? So what your saying is Barcelona could have thrown anyone into the managerial position and they would have managed to win what they won?

Celtic need to give themselves the best possible chance of winning the league next season. Failing to do so will see the huns with an unbelievable three in a row. Unbelievable.

To give us that chance we need to get a solid, experienced manager at the helm. They have to get this decision correct. Failure to do so will set the club back years.

Yeah, they could gamble and go with either Lennon or McStay, and who knows? Might work.

If it doesn't, and the board have made the gamble of a Lennon or McStay at the helm, then the board are *. Proper *. And they should go.

We need to give ourselves the best chance here. The lack or names or discussion about names that aren't already here worries me greatly.

No offence to Lenny but if the job is an internal appointed one then i would take Mcstay any day of the week. How anyone can say his level is only for the reserves etc is a disgrace. He served the club well and did tremendously with the reserves.I could see Lenny and Mjallby working along with him but if Mcstay does come back to Celtic then he deserves a chance ahead of Lennon.Mcstay is a good tactician too which is what we sorely need. Lennon has done well so far no doubt. He's ticking all the right boxes but i wasn't entirely convinced by the formation choices against hibs to be honest.Yes we managed to grind out a result but at no point of that game did we look comfortable. Lennon could be the best manager ever but i think he might need to learn his trade a bit more before he takes on such a big role long term. Potential Celtic manager yes but ready for it now....not so sure about that

I'd show passion if I was celtic manager. Can I get the job? It's ridiculous, we wouldn't sign players on the basis of being passionate alone and nor should this ludicrous policy apply to the appointment of the most important cog in the machine.

If we had the same team to hand to McStay that Guardiola was handed at Barca, I'd give you the job.

this is a cucial appontment, and we cant just give it to lenny or willie because we all love the guys and their passion, what about tactical knowledge, the ability to spot a player, boardroom clout to get what they need etc etc, passion is great but theres so much more to the job

Clearly they do still play games because Neil Lennon was managing them and playing other teams in friendlies/closed door games.

Lennon over McStay for me any time. Not that I've decided yet if I want Lennon either to be honest.
