    Civilisation doesn't develop in some parts of the world, sadly.

    Their "laws" are ridiculous, what they do is an insult to humanity. I bet cats and dogs have more rights than women and are treated with more respect in Middle East.

    Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it as it's a tradition of having these strict bollocks they call rules in their countries.

    As for this guy being accused of predicting future (!?), it would be hilarious if it wasn't so cruelly real. He was lucky though, they could decide to throw stones at him as punishment. This doesn't stop there, though. Accusations of practicing sorcery are widespread in Africa, too.

    It's disappointing to see some people still living in medieval period or even earlier. As I said, I don't see the end of it as there's nothing that can be done from the outside.

    yeah the punishments are a bit extreme admittedly, but crime rates in some of these countries are practically zero

    neds act like a * here they get a social worker and 'rehabilitation' :rolleyes:

    Tax payers money * up a wall.

    There are plenty of secular muslims as well though and I wouldn't lump them all together with general statements encompassing Islam as a whole. Saudi Arabia is known to be one the strictest interpretations of the Koran anywhere. You go to western Turkey, Lebanon, or even parts of Iraq and it is a lot more relaxed. The same goes for a lot of western european muslims too.
