Regardless of the quality of players that left or came in, the fact that it was such a huge turnover during the January window cost the team it's cohesion and spirit. I believe that had a huge impact.

Also, I'm not sure how we replace McDonald's goals come July. I'm not sure we could afford a decent striker seeing as we have to account for half the squad returning to their contracted clubs.

Can't believe some of the comments on here, lol. Hartley is better than N'Guemo? Caldwell should come back? None of those players are worth keeping.

Hartley was/is finished. His legs were going and he was getting slower by the week. He was only ever an average defensive midfielder anyway. We never used Paul Hartley in the role he made his name at ie. an attacking midfielder bursting forward and scoring goals. He was great at that when he played for Hearts then Gordon Strachan got his hands on him and made him into a holding player. Another piece of genius management by the small Ginger one. :87:

All of the players left at the right time. Not 1 of those players will get in the team next year. As people have said "some of the players that TM brought in will prove to be very good signings next season". I firmly believe that whoever takes over at Celtic has a good basis from which to work off. I mean think of the players

Rasmussen - Eye for a goal could do well for us with a run.

Rogne - Looks a very good accomplished defender who will grow with experience

Hooiveld - Again looks a good signing hope to see some more of him in coming games

Fortune - I like him. Very strong can hold off a defender and can score screamers

Ki - Will become a good player for us when the right defensive CM'er is found

Only time will tell but I am willing to give all of them my complete backing.

If I was to put my neck on the line and name someone to replace Keanes goals I would say Anthony Stokes although I have heard bad stories about his drinking habbits. But definately would score a lot of goals in our team.

Dont forget at the end of the season as I have said before we are not trying to replace Keane the Player but the goals that he scores. So basically we need to set out our stall lower without losing the goals

N'Guemo has more dig by far and is everywhere on the park playing his * off in defense. He's quicker and more athletic as well. There really is no comparison, N'Guemo is the better of the two by far. I think if you want to compare styles of play, Hartley's closer to Crosas, but even that is a stretch.

N'guemo has been consistantly caught out all season we have been losing midfield battles all season against pretty week teams.

N'guemo is sort of just there he dosen't influence the game, he is forever making a mess off passes. you never see him in a forward position yet teams seem to just ghost past him when they are counter attacking.

He dosen't get himself in positions enough to break down or start attacks for a DM these are a must but mabye lennon can help him in that department.

I'm just saying If we had kept the likes of hartley in the squad then It would have made it easy for mowbray to bed himself in with the tried and trusted and players like hartley could have come in and used there defensive ability in some of the wee games away from home IE. falkirk st mirren etc.

Doesn't influence the game? He wins possession all the time and starts many of our attacks. We do better in the midfield when him and Crosas are playing. People are so quick to put the blame on N'Guemo instead of guys like Brown who do hardly anything all game, granted he did score last week but that was the one of the few times his name was mentioned all day.
