Nothing other than being stuck under a boat in water. That's more of an irrational nervousness than a fear though.

I don't really get that freaked out by scary films but without a doubt the 28 days/weeks later do scare the living bejesus out of me, yet I can watch other zombie flicks no problem.

Event Horizon is a good flick I recommend that one as well, maybe not to scary but still darn good.

I think it's more of an age thing, in that you probably won't be that scared from films the older you get.

I can recall being terrified after watching the original halloween (still one of the best horrors imo), the omen and even the original nightmare on elm street. I was probably around 10yrs old when I saw those though.

The scariest thing i remember seeing though is the bbc docudrama 'threads' about nuclear war. Don't think i slept for a week after watching that. Must be over 20 years since I watched that, only saw it once and can still remember bits of it.

Surprised that no one has mentioned "The Exorcist" this has to be one of the best of all time scary movies.

a lot of films described a shorror these days are exploitation films more about gore - Saw Hostel etc.
As has been mentioned, try Japanese films. Wolf Creek is good too. Try some older stuff, Rosemary's Baby for example

Whe I was a kid it would probably be Jaws,Jason, Damien, Michael Myers,Candyman,Alien movies, predator and flatliners.
Not really scared of any movies now but thought Fallen was good with the bad guy going about singing Time is on my side and for a comical element -Evil Dead 2.
