Glad it was just that , we could have had arseholes running on the park etc so no problem with a few scarfs or tops being chucked on ,

I dont see it as being very much different at all.

The Board will have known that all has not been well since the emergency meeting between players and manager following his public condemnation of the players abilities, the results have got worse since then.
Why did it take until today to do the right thing? I'm not saying that the scarf throwing was the absolute deciding factor, but I'm sure that image played a part.

As far as im aware mate almost every set of supporters in every country have a right to demonstrate there feelings and do so in different manners, ours is to throw scarfs onto the field, in argentina its missiles in brazil its bricks! i feel sorry for the fans who done that as they where obviously * off with the team that lets face it where * with a cipital S.

Nonsense, it's just a strong way of saying 'this isn't * good enough'......which it wasn't. I didn't throw my scarf but a few around me did. It's a common way of showing displeasure and it's fair enough in my book.

TBH you can't question how faithful fans are who are at an away game on a wet Wednesday night when the league was over weeks ago. :87:

Too many pompous people on here.

Easy to get on your high horse when your not standing in the * rain in Paisley, having paid £25-£30 to watch your team humiliated by a bunch of grinders that usually cant buy a goal for *.

Everyone that threw their scarf made their point to the manager that the game was up and i say fair play to them.

    * sake, they can buy another one for a fiver tomorrow.

Your probably right , im just getting tired of scarfs on the field, a half empty parkhead , fans waiting for the manager to get off the bus so they can boo him. It really is depressing supporting celtic these day

I'd like to think the scarves of the field have played their part in starting to turn the problems you mentioned around.

If those things didn't happen the board would thinks everythings fine & dandy. These things must be done, if we didn't we could have had another season under the clown.

Never throw away your teams colours, ever.
If we had got beat * 10-0 last night I would not have thrown my Celtic scarf on the park.

How is it in any way saying '* Celtic'? People have a right to make some sort of stand when we're in the * and that's exactly what we've been in and it came to a head the other night.

When you're out on a Wednesday night in the rain watching your team getting humiliated on top of the poor season we've had then people will get angry.

Throwing a scarf in frustration does in no way make anyone less of a supporter. We are all in the same boat.We all share the pain. But we all have different ways of dealing with things.

Throwing a scarf on the pitch in frustration is a symbolic way of saying "Enough is enough".That same frustration is rarely seen with Celtic. For that to be done shows something is very wrong indeed.

I totally agree that had it not been done the board would have just ignored the problem and let the frustration fade. People vented, changes were made......it's what we all wanted anyway so where's the problem

People obviously have different feelings on what a scarf means to them. To some it means nothing, just an easily replaced item that can be used to show support of a team when they are doing well or show anger and frustration when things are not going well.

For me, my Celtic scarf means the world to me, never in a million years would i ever dream of throwing it away. Its an extension of my love for Celtic, I wear it to all the games I attend, I fold it neatly away in my drawer, I fire it out the window of the car on my way to away games, my son will hopefully wear it when I am 6 feet under, and I may own my dads when he is 6 feet under.
When I look at my scarf it ignites hundreds of memories, some good some bad. These are all good enough reasons for me not ever to throw my scarf away but, the single most reason is that if I ever see huns throwing their scarfs away it makes me so very happy, I laugh a lot and take extreme pleasure in their misfortune, the thought of making them happy is enough to make my scarf stay proudly wrapped around my neck.
I dont think you should ever throw your Celtic scarf away.
