Fair enough he got them in to the 1/4 final of the CL but was sacked in april with the danger of the league postion and not getting into the CL the next season.

We have to support Lennon & Mjallby, however as it stands thay are here on an interum basis, with a view to, whoever comes in, that they would have a part in any new management structure. Lennon will have plenty of fire and will really galvanize the team, as well as the support in the short term. Johan, I hope, will be able to sort out the mess at the back, especially at LB/CB.

They have tpo focus on the short term. So far as Lennon & Mjallby are concered, this is essential, to get us back moving in a forward direction, and move towards the Cup. The most important thing now i that the board find the absolute right man.

Mjällby is currently getting his manager license (or whatever you call it) in Sweden so this is not the first time he's thought of the coaching job. Jos thinks it is a good move by Celtic, according to a Swedish interview. Also, Mjällby said that this is first and foremost a job until the end of the season.

Regarding Larsson, he is coaching Landskrona BoIS in the Swedish second division so he is not eligible for the job, at least not at the moment.

Ok the league is over - But am sure for most of us we want to see FIGHT,PRIDE, and Belief back and make us a TEAM again who play for each other, rather than a team full of Journeymen...... Just wish Lennon had been in charge v Rangers we would have had more FIGHT rather than looking scared. rather than Mowbray who * keeps staring at the ground doing nothing.

I just read this in a blog by a Swedish sports journalist:
"I recently met Mjällby at the Swedish league meet and greet and we spoke about Celtic. Mjällby was completely in check with the going-ons at Celtic, the players, the results and so forth.
    And to quote him:
'There is no single player in the Celtic squad today that would've taken a spot in the starting eleven we had back then'. "

Glad to see Lennon and big Johan taking the reigns. Hopefully win the cup and solidify 2nd place with an organised team. If this is only gonna be until the end of the season then I'd like to see them bring in an old head to help out. How about Lennon with Mjallby and Billy McNeill helpin him out?

Regardless of what anyone thinks.................. the fact that Mjallby has basicaly dropped everything he is doing and headed to Glasgow shows he cares and wants to help out.........mowbray couldnt even move from the bench

good enough for me even till the end of the season.

Aye, cos I suppose Rab Douglas would've been keeping Boruc out?

All the same, pleased to see big Johan back.

I think our main problem is not so much the playing squad as morale, and he should provide a much-needed boost - will be a good influence I think. :50:

Actually, now I come to think on it, Rab Douglas probably would've kept Artur out - MON never had a feckin scooby when it came to keepers. :56:

Not too happy with this appointment, an unprovan coach with no history but hope his passion for Celtic will be contageous.
Also hope he does not blow his top when we play the Rancid mob and tear a few new arseholes on the touch line.

Its only a short term measure, however I am confident it will have the desired effect of galvanizing the team and the support with the type of solidarity we have been sadly lacking. Think we will see a far more pragmatic approach under Lennon that we have seen with the 'visions' of Mowbray, and hope that Mjallby will teach the CBs a thing or two as well.
