I think this will be a good short term solution for the club as a whole. My main gripe with Mowbray was his passion from the sidelines and this also goes for Peter Grant! I will give the perfect example here. Laffertys challenge on Hinkel what did Mowbray and Grant do? * all is the answer. What would Neil Lennon have done, he would have went * mental and would had to be pulled back from the sidelines, not just because he loves Celtic football club but because he is a WINNER!

To swedish media he says that he is going to Glasgow right now. And that Lennon tho hours after taking over called Mjällby who did not hesitate for a second. Cmon King Mjällby!!!!!!! AND LENNON!

Just been hearing all the huns are laughing at Lennon taking over, if they didnt have Smith they would be stuck with McCoist, who Smith lets do the cups and even then has to step in and do his work for him, cant see how he is any better tbh halfwits that they are!

The thing that worries me is, just because he was an excellent player, does not mean he will make such a great transition into management. I have the same concerns with all of these people who are calling for Larsson to take a top-level management position in the club, and others, even Chris Sutton. None of these players have much management experience. I'd rather they manage for a few years in a lower league, and then bring them into Celtic. Just because you were a great player does not mean you are going to make such a great transition. Remember Davie Hay? Liam Brady? Lou Macari? John Barnes? TONY MOWBRAY?? Decent players who just couldn't make the transition to manage Celtic with any real level competency.

I wish we could find and afford good experienced coaches. Not people like Larson, Lambert, Mialby etc. What have they proved ? Gambling on unproven coaches could just be asking for more problems.

Jurgen Klinsman- Never Managed- Led Germany to World Cup Semi
Pep Guardiola- Never Managed- Led Barcelona to every possible trophy
Many people want Slaven Bilic- One year with Hajduk before taking over Croatia

You don't get any more inexperienced and "top level" then that.

    Neil Lennon for Permanent Manager.

    Klinsmann did what at Bayern?

National and Club management are completley different, look at Scolari!

Pep is different though, he is a genious lol. Seriously though on Pep hes one of not many that could ever do what he has done.

Lennon's appointment makes sense and the fact that he has asked for Mjallby shows that he still has a head on his shoulders. I think that this pair could be an excellent long term solution for the club. I see no merit in appointing Mark Hughes since that would just be a waste of more money. Lenny should be able to get Nguemo, Crosas, playing as their potential has already suggested they can. Mjallby should do wonders for Thompson, Rogne, O'Dea etc. I look for more involvement by Paddy McCourt, Nial McGinn, Rasmussen. Marc Antoine and Giorgias had better start improving big time - unfortunately we will not be able to count on Robbie long term but surely he has a few pointers he can impart. Sad though it is to see Mowbray fail, the Celtic future is bright, green and white, and starts NOW!
