I reckon Mark Hughes will be Celtic next manager he ticks the main box for the board, no compensation and he's the only half descent manager out of work. Although I think that Desmont has to go to David Moyes with a blank check we need someone of that calibre to take the club back to where we belong!

A hate that. We shouldny always go for people who are Celtic-minded. Plus it just makes us look bad. Only going for people who are known for loving Celtic. Might make the fans happy but it doesny always make the results!

TONY MOWBRAY IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS.

WGS wasny Celtic-minded. Look what he done for us even though hunnerz a fans hated him simply cause he wasny Celtic-daft! Ye know who ye are.

Neil Lennon isny managerial material either imo but he's probs the best we've got till the end of the season.

A dunno but a hink Mark Hughes would be a good manager fur us.

It doesn't need to be a Celtic minded manager but a manager that connects with the fans and knows what it'll like to manage a big club. The club has been going backwards since MON left. I was glad to see the back of strachan and mowbray we HAVE to push the boat out like we did with O'Neill. At that O'Neill was never Celtic minded but knew how to connect with the fans we need someone who understands our demands as Celtic Supporters!!! We'll be back Bhoys keep the faith!

Personal slurs not needed mate. Mogga was a genuine guy and a good Celtic man. Some things just don't work out and this was one of them. Time to move onwards and upwards and good luck to Tony in the future.

Glad its over think its better he went now rather than the end of the season as he would have been hounded out and u dont want to see that to someone that has a love for the club,i wish tm all the best for the future he just wasnt cut out for managing celtic so its onwards an upwards dont think lennon is the solution but if we could at least win the scot, cup an bring a decent manager in the summer is all we can hope.

his tenure was a gruesome and painful one.handing the league to Rangers without even a whimper and a poor UEFA Cup run, if you can even call it a 'run'. selling our top goalscorer bemused me. he should of gone long before this imo. the humiliation last night wasn't the last nail in the coffin it was the groundsman tending the grave.

Celtic better take there time in finding a replacement and go for someone sports some sort of evidence of taking us forward. it's not like we're fighting for the league and i feel Lennon will have the fire and passion to carry us towards the cup.

    complete shambles.

Sadly had to be done. Last night just showed how much he has lost the fans. There werent many that still believed in him and I am glad he is gone. Nice man and i really wanted him to succeed but sorry Tony, it just wasnt good enough for our club. Thanks for your efforts though.

I would like to apologise for the remarks i made against Mogga and his backroom staff in the Sack him Now thread last night im disappointed in myself with some of them!

I backed him up until last night, he IS a Celtic man unfortunately it hasn't worked out and in the cold light of day i'd like to wish him well in whatever post he ends up in i fear it may be a long time for him before the scars heal as last night he looked a broken man in an Ally McLeod way.

    Best of luck Mogga

Its a shame this didnt work out

Seeing Celtic fans 'overjoyed' that our manager is sacked is disturbing to see. Shows that some people didnt back him 100% and were happier to have their 'I told you so' than a successful Celtic manager. This should be a sad day for all Celtic fans as we all have to pick up the pieces. I didnt want him to fail but to see his vision come through but it got to a point where nobody could see him realistically achieve his medium or long term goals and the correct decision has been made.
