Hi Folks, I've given Tony the benefit of the doubt so far, sadly I can do so no longer. I'm not usually into doing things short-term, but as Neil is already there, what do you think about him and David Hay taking over for the remainder of this season. Breaks my heart to be so far behind the forces of darkness, but league tables don't lie !

To be honest, I'd expect the board to go after Yogi Hughes or someone similar.
If Mowbray goes, the board won't want to spend a lot on compensation for the new manager after shelling out for Mowbray last summer.
Not many decent managers out of work just now, we probably need someone with good knowledge of the SPL or similar league, possibly Holland, Sweden or Norway.

Just don't know at the moment finding it hard to be positive, in an ideal world Bilic would be great, or Hiddink after the WC.

he's had plenty of chances already. did martin o'neill ask for a transitional season? did win jansen ask for a transitional season? did they bollocks - this is SCOTTISH football and we are CELTIC - with the resources available to us 30 of the 38 games a season should be an absolute skoosh and this * will limp home with 70 odd points. a born loser.

In an ideal world id take Alex McLeish, but i doubt it will ever happen. Id back the guy who said Lennon/Hay til the end of the season, but again ideally we want someone in permanant now so he can be settled for next season.

On a side note, im gutted to even be discussing this. Genuinely thought Mowbray was gonna be an amazing manager. He has destroyed his rep here. Who will take him after this?

Well to think there were some on here only yesterday, no names no pack drill, I won't embarass them any further, who wanted to give that buffon Mowbray 15 games into the next season too :bbpd::bbpd::bbpd:

I stand by my original prediction that we will lose this league to Rangers by 16+ :31::31::31:

Mowbray just blow in the morning and stop destroying the team I love :38:

Its set up for us perfectly with the news today from portsmouth we could get Avram Grant and, although they couldnt play this season, he could sign some of the players now and start planning a settled team for next year

Owen Coyle - Mark Hughes - Alex McLeish

I would take any of them.

who would replace him? I think a hat stand or a turnip with a flat cap on it might do the trick

No need to name names , I can out myself.. I think there's a sly satisfaction from some posters like yourself to keep reminding us how they wrote Mowbray off long before anyone else had caught wind of what we were about to endure... That is a bit sad because I feel sure it started of as a personal thing against the manager , for whatever reasons they chose and it's just spiralled from there.. The thing is , you may well turn out to be right and it will be 16+ points , but then again TM may well still be the manager for the first 15 games of next season.. Managers have come through similar adversities in the past and it's never over untill the P45 has been handed out..

What about Stale Solbakken from FCK Copenhagen?

He has won 3 of the past 4 Danish league titles, has experience in Europe - remember they gave us a real run for our money and even beat Man U. And coming from one of the smailler leagues, wouldn't cost the absolute mint some of the big names being flung about would.
