So whats everyones experiences of meeting Celtic players out on the lash?? Met McGeady and Crosas last night and got to say both where absolutley brilliant, especially Crosas, was chatting away for a good 15 minutes. Canny really mind what the topic of convo was though haha :bbpd::bbpd::bbpd:. Some of Aidens mates where a bit wide tho.

Its not all that surprising that in a city the size of Glasgow (or anywhere in Scotland for that matter), sooner or later you are likely to run into the odd player on both sides of the divide, so it's hardly trainspotting stuff, is it? Some fans take it too far, and the players themselves have to realise that they are gonna cop some stick, especially when out on the lash. Just got to remember they are people too.

Have seen a few players over the years at restaurants, airports & the like. I don't go to nightclubs etc, so don't know if it is different then, but would imagine drink would have more of an impact on the dynamic of such encounters. Personally, some of the more notables I've run across includes the likes of Naka, Lenny, BBJ, JVOH, amongst others, all of whom have been exemplary, and that goes for the odd R****** player, like Van Bronckhorst (should add, he was at Arsenal by that time, lol).

Met a few of the players inside the ground after training once thanks to JC.

Gotta say, Hartson and Lennon were brilliant.

I met Johnathan Gould in the gym once, and he was happy to sign something for me. Also met Steve Crainey in a club, and he was a really good guy. Bought me a drink when he found out I was a Celtic fan.

My mate stays in Houston and was down the shops on a Sunday morning and met Hartson. Asked him for an autograph for his son, told him he was his son's favourite player. Hartson asked were he stayed, told him to get in the car and he'd follow him back to his house. Sat and had a chat and totally made the wee mans year.

    An absolute class act

I work in one of the establishments on sauchihall street that i shall not name. The owner is apparently a big tim and big John Hartson used to come in all the time with the big boss always around closing time for some after hours beverages. A few years ago I remember finishing late at around 4am on saturday morning and they were both still there tanning the JD's. The next morning i dragged myself out of bed to head to the pub for a half 12 K/O away game, and there was big John sitting with the Satanta team talking pish about the pre-match build up. He couldnt have had more than a 4 hours sleep, and he was * wrecked the last time i saw him at 4am! Not bad for a 35 year old man.
