No way he was excellent i can remember him giving the ball away on a few occasions. Maybe one of his better games but not excellent

Can't back it up for sure, but my dad told me it was common knowledge he was a hun at the time he signed.

I think about 7 of the Lions were from Rangers (or certainly west of Scotland protestant) backgrounds too. I think the one thing Brown gives is his absulute maximum effort.

At the time we bought Brown I thought it was a great signing but he's been a massive let down.

As I've said, some people from the 'other' background can be a success.

Brown isn't and never will be.

But he's *. All he does is run about and square up to folk. Any idiot could do that.

Another point about Brown I'm tired of making.

You can charge about a pitch like a nutter all game if your fit enough, still doesn't detract from the fact you are * at football

Ross, I'm getting the impression you don't like Brown. I may be wrong :icon_mrgreen:

Honestly Paul, its * beyond me what people see in this complete and utter imposter.

The biggest fraud ever to pull on a hooped jersey, at least people clocked other failures down the years like Cascarino, Slater, Hedman, Juninho etc for what they were, yet some people continue to defend this knuckle-dragger.

yeah but regardless of technique my point is passion I think is not something that Broony lacks as was claimed above. I found his last game where he played some great stuff for us in his Scotland position interesting.

Yes he does Gunt, it takes an opponent/ref to * him off in a game before he gets interested.

When did u ever see him genuinely looking fired-up for Celtic?

    Try never.

What we basically have is a fruit-loop captain that would rather be on the other side of town.

I have to disagree Rossenspeil, whether you think he's a good footballer or not, I don't think his passion can be doubted in my opinion.

When you think he would play better at a different club as I do.

His passion and commitment would have to be questioned especially when he played so well for previous clubs and country.

I think it can, very easily.

How many time have you seen him run to the fans and openly celebrate in 3 years of being here?

I really liked Brown when he was at Hibs, but have been massively disappointed with him during his time at Celtic! Everybody including me was super excited when he signed. I really believed we were getting the next Paul McStay! Unfortunately Brown couldn't wear the Maestros flip flops never mind his football boots.

Brown has serious discipline issues and loses the heid far to often. His ankle injuries have piled up and i feel he's lost a good yard of pace. His touch always lets him down in the final third as well and he has no composure in front of goal.

Too think that Newcastle offered £9m for him just few months after signing for us. What i would give to turn back time...:54:
