such a bad injury to get. really feel for Becks. One of my favourite players really genuine guy. Least he has achieved more than most players will. .

On a separate note anyone see Seedorfs goal!! Belter.

I feel for the guy having ruptured my ankle ligaments earlier this year ..He comes across a great6 ambassador for the game and a role model to the kids .He has looked after his old school in Chingford providing the money for a new sports centre to.. What im going to say though is the media is doing my head in already with this !!! well overboard ,its like a national disaster down here ...At least they now have their first excuse for not winning the WC :icon_mrgreen:

Good luck to beckham though , comes across as a nice guy :50:

Feel bad for him. Beckham is one of the few English players I have any time for.
As a player he's extremely underrated in my opinion. Most people criticise him for not being able to take a man on but when you can hit your pass from anywhere on the pitch with unbelievable accuracy then there's no need for trickery. Throughout his career he has contributed with goals and many many assists, and his last season in Madrid alone should be enough to change his doubters mind and show him as the class act he is.

He gets a lot of media attention but no one can claim he isn't dedicated to football, and in my opinion when he plays for England even now he still looks one of the best players on the park. For my money he should have been one of the first five or six names on the squad list for South Africa.

It's easy to criticise the guy for all the attention he gets in the media and all his commercial work but at the end of the day if people were throwing money at any of us left right and centre to advertise felt pens and hair gel not one of us would turn it down, and he can't stop the red tops from printing things about him.

Would of been good for him to get the 4 consecutive World Cups that no other Englishman has achieved, it's a shame that has been taken away from him. Hopefully this isn't the end of his career, it's nice to see that AC Milan have already come out and said that he will be back with them next year.

Unlike some players on huge wages, he is a great role model for football on and off the park. Players in their peak today could look to him on how to conduct themselves. Even with lots of money and time at his disposal, you never hear of him in bar fights, trying it on with people's partners etc.

Either that or another testimonial. We also played them in America a couple of times pre season.

his career won't be iver yes he is a good player but i just can't stand him he could kill someone and the media would say it was the other person's fault for being their at the wrong time. I just don't like him as he is overhyped and the media make him out to be a worldbeater when he isn't.

I agree he doesn't come across as a thug, more like a business man. however he ain't no angel, he officially cheated on his wife two times if I remember correctly... (can't blame him though.. just have a look at his witch..)

in purely footballing terms, it is tragic, Beckham is a genuinely great player and ive never had any problem with his being english.
