I can see people reading too much into this a bit in all honesty.

Mowbray's just saying that the situation hasn't changed and that there isn't more chance, or less chance, of him staying after his loan period expires.

I really hope not, if we can sign one of the 4 loanees (n'guemo) i'd be thrilled, but keane kamara and braifheid(whatever) are taking way too much of our wages.
let em go, and sign another forward, left back attacking midfielder and defender.

Season book renewals are up shortly if they want serious numbers to renew then signing robbie would be best way. There is no chance he would sign with our current team cos you can see how frustrted he gets when our players can't pick him out with simple thru balls.but maybe with the guarantee of a few qulity players you never know, still to hear him say how he is finding it at the club

You have to ask Robbie Keane 1 simple question, why the * would he want to stay at Celtic park next season?

Hes in a different league to the strugglers in our team.

Why play on sandy beach pitches, stadiums with 5000 fans and drop in wages when he can play at top class stadiums in the EPL, guarenteed support of over 40k and 90k a week wages?

A Celtic die-hard playing for his team? Or go back to Spurs and sit on the bench most weeks. :38:

Hopefully Spurs offer a straight swap for McGeady or something, would be a good move for both parties.

Would love Keano to be here next season, he just came at the wrong time and would be so disappointing for his stay at Celtic to be like this.

The thing is, he wouldnt go back to spurs to sit on the bench, there are 16-17 other epl teams that would snap him up in an instance.

Could we afford his current wage packet of 90k per week and could we offer him happiness of playing against the best teams in glasgow? Dont think so, as much as I hate saying it, I think we are being deluded if we think hes going to stay :97:

i hope he stays would love it if he does because you can see the players react to his confidence and hes a great leader also.

hope we offer mcgeady plus cash for him or something of the likes

good to see pavlyuchenko scoring aswel as defoe and crouch only good for us on the keane front

I agree with you mate, we all know robbie loves playing so surely he would consider staying with his us even if it is on lower wages, playing on * pitches and in half empty stadiums rather than sitting on the bench every week for spurs. Plus surely he'll want to help his bhoy hood club take back the title from the huns.
I think that spurs would maybe be interested in mcgeady, have they not admitted interest in him in the past? I just have a feeling that mcgeady will move on in the summer.

I really hope he has a think about staying. Maybe he would like to stay to win the league. It would be a bit of a disappointment if he went back down to England having won nothing up here.

I actually think he's been given plenty of opportunities to score and he's actually blown alot of chances by himself. He likes to hit shots straight at goalkeepers. Having said that, he and Rasmussen look like a good partnership after playing only 1 full game together. Also, ive heard that Keane and Maloney had hit it off in training so you never know.

I think Maloney had been back in full training for a few weeks before he broke down injured again.

Maybe in a few years time he'll return, but for now we're just another tick in the box for robbie keane. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Can't see us having a huge budget for next season as getting into the Champions League is going to be very difficult, crowds are 15,000 down on a couple of years ago and turnover is down, surely this would take up too much of the budget when the team needs strengthened in a few areas?

look see if there is a chance of signing a world class player like keane? then * go for it for * sake. we have had people on here (me included ) cracking up because we dont sign quality? and when we do get quality in we have folk saying bullshit like send him back, or he is on too much money etc pish. quality over quantity everytime for me and if we can sign keano on a long term deal? then * go for it and stop whinning about how much the man is on.you want class? then here is our chance and build on it.if this does happen? then i will be ecstatic about it. you cannot tell me since keane has come here the fans havent enjoyed him?

and also when you spend money on quality? like keane it will rub off in the youth ranks and other players because players like keane will tell the other young players to try things like this and that! and that will help them in the long run. and if this isnt good enough? then * * help us.

If there is an avenue to get him to stay ,Celtic must go for it .

Your right. He is one of the reasons fans are still turning up to games now imo.

The money they have made in shirt sales etc have probably already covered this stint.

If Robbie wants to and Celtic want to then they should do there best to get a deal done.

The only stumbling block i see is that he could still attract a big transfer fee and there will be plenty of clubs looking at him in the summer. Spurs wont just lets us have him for cheap.
