How refreshing to hear a fellow supporter NOT taken in by this Bullshitting board - How true we were in a position of strength and should have blown rangers out of sight had we added to our squad, but what do we do we have the "Master of Spin" tony blair`s war child Dr Reid telling us that those "Holy *" across the city are in dire straits. - Sat on their big FAT *`s and did nothing...him and his Henchman Herr Liarwell are only interested in opening shops in ASIA and bringing in shirt sellers like Ki & Zheng Zhi (both empty shirts) - When was the last time a BALANCE SHEET held a trophy aloft. - Now were stuck with Mowbray until he resigns as the board paid the princely sum of £2 million for his services - Well Mr Reid i Know 4 folk who are NOT renewing their season books...they have had enough of your bullshit bingo.

spot on m8.wont be re-newing myself if TM is still there.also that * board.throwing the huns a * lifeline when they are on their *.it does make you wonder sometimes.the board have seen a massive decline at parkhead, thus the panic signing of keane to get arses back on the seats.quality player-yes,but its just another shrood trick by these charlatans to try an pull the wool over the supporters eyes and stop them looking at the big picture.i knew this was going to go pear shaped at the start of the season, and spoke to matt mcglone (alternative view) regarding my concerns.we drove the old board out before, there is nothing to stop us doing it again.any supporter who thinks this is an overreaction clearly doesnt have the best interests of CFC.

Just because some people don't agree with your viewpoint doesn't mean that they don't have Celtic's best interests at heart. They simply have a different opinion to yours.

Paddy i got slaughtered on here for Dissing the board -only to be met with the board have released the funds !!!!!! - BOLTED ,HORSES, come to mind anyone ! - You can bet if the situation were reversed Murray would have buried us and gave smith 4 or 5 players last January...as per usual were given the party line by Reid & Liarwell we dont want to end up like those "Holy *" well who are the * now (nice term used) - * sick thats another year we have given "gifted" those * another £10 million CL money.....Those 3000 gullable fans who stood outside parkhead that night when Keane was signed should have a sreious look at themselves.....YOUR board hoodwinked you. when the DEFENCE was needing sorted they went for the "Missing 20,000 seat filler Keane - dont get me wrong good player, but this was not a tactical signing. it was a MARKETING PLOY from a board who does not like getting CRAP from it`s own fans. - They play on fans loyalty and treat them like *. now were left with a team that will win NOTHING - and with Mowbray`s LONG term vision what do we do we go out and get LOAN signings..* Bizarre....i Have never known so much APATHY around Celtic as their is just now.

Couldnt agree more, the heat is off him a little and less fans shouting for him to be sacked will guarantee his job. The Board should have aimed higher and spent more when replacing WGS, Mowbray was a very poor choice but we did have our offers turned down by others and the board had to get someone in in time for the start of the season. He has always spoken about building a team for the future and i thought, ok give the guy a chance. There might be short term pain but long term joy so im happy to go with this. The warning bells started to ring for me after a pretty demoralising season to date for us, which i half expected, but this team for the future he spoke of was including loan players..* !! What is the point of loan players leaving at the end of the season, what does that add to trying to build a team for the future. In his defence, i dont think he was given any choice with Robbie Keane who was brought in to hopefully help us in the league, and also for marketing purposes for revenue.
Unless the fans are all screaming for tony M to go, the board will let him stay as they would look even more foolish than they were when they signed him. Maybe Tm will build a great team for us and we dont have the foresight or knowledge to see that and we will be proved wrong, but im not as confident of that as i once was.

look at the other 2 the board were persuing for a number of weeks. martinez-guy has no european manegerial experience and to be honest i hadnt heard of him.and owen coyle? fair enough took a team from championship into PL,hardly winning the champs league is it? this just proves the ambition these * frauds with the suits have.absolutely none.they will be happy year in year out winning * all,as long as they are still making money and getting their backhander with bonuses.its long overdue, they should be removed before they put us right in the *!

Jkel - So next year how long do we give Mowbray ? - do we wait till next january and prob find ourselves 7 points behind again.

i Dont think he nentioned Mourinho did he. - the managers touted were NEVER good enough for celtic let alone this "3rd" choice.

As for living in a Hun town - move to Coatbridge,Croy,Royston then :icon_mrgreen:

its down to them to pursue the correct candidates.just goes to show, coyle would rather stay at burnley than come to us! thats the damage the board has done! we are 1 a the biggest clubs in the world,so why not go for the best managers around! because a folk like yerself putting up and shutting up that the board are getting away with bringing in unexperienced and unambitious folk like TM!

look mate i dont know the answer right now,did i say wait till next january?
my point is right now any good manager isnt coming to spl.
owen coyle turned us down, paul lambert doesnt want it,if there is a great
manager out there with all the answers then bring him in.
my point about living in a hun town means my ambition for celtic to do
well shouldnt be questioned as im gettin * every day from them

and how do you know that no one wants the managers job? you dont, because the board arent interested in looking.that is my point, and that is why if something is not done,i.e getting shot a TM,then we will be left in deeper * than a poofs * and then no manager will be interested in coming!

I never said you did say - wait till next january.

If we can pay a player 65k a week then we can find a manager - it`s this board can they be trusted to go out and find the right man.

Mate your past all that getting slagged by the huns - rise above it i`m sure your big and ugly enough to find an answer for them. you can gloat when we eventually find the right man and team on the park.

thats exactly why MON left.board couldnt meet his ambitions. they will not back a good manager who wants to take the club foward.instead we are going backwards with yes men like TM. its a bad day if you let a hun get to you.its only because of the ridiculous situation we are in at the moment which is taking the spotlight off them not having a pot to * in.

There wasn't exactly dancing in the street when Mowbray was named as manager, and I'm not exactly doing cartwheels now. Don't get me wrong, he seems is a nice enough, decent kind of guy, and I've nothing against him personally, but that doesn't mean anything. I want him to be successful FOR NO OTHER REASON than he is the Celtic manager. I want our team to be successful, and by extension our manager, whoever that may be.

This season we, as Celtic supporters, have had any number of reasons to question Mowbray's ability to live up to our expections. And it is not like we have unreal expectations; highly competative in the league, make us proud in Europe, have a home record that puts the frighteners on any visiting team & go deep in both domesticv cup competitions. Given our club's pre-eminance here in Scotland, that should not be too much to expect.

Realistically, in terms of the League we are in a 2 horse race. Personally I wish this was not the case, as there are sides of being in this that has had a massive detrimental effect on Scottish football over the past 20 years. But be that as it may, a 2 horse race we are in. As such, if we don't to win the league, then it should be very * close.

European adventure was a distaster. The less said the better. We are currently 3rd in the 'home' SPL table, knocked out of the LC at home. By my reckoning we have played 19 competitve games at home this season - and 10 teams have walked away with a point or better. Not good enough.

There has been a noticable change in attitude around the club, in terms of what we could potentially see on any given matchday. There is the hope that we might be getting to see somethinf special, some beautiful football. In that aspect Mowbray has been a success, as we had clearly stagnated in the latter part of WGS's tenure.

But this is not enough. It's not enough that we have a team that might, IF it all clicks (& thats a big IF at the moment) that we could score 4 or 5 or whatever, but the cost of doing this has been to sacrifice the ability to scrape a 1-0 when we are having an off day & the inability to cobble together a run of wins. In this, Mowbray has been very much a disappointment.

You mentioned that yesterday also , what's this "home" SPL table you speak of ?

I think I get you.. results from home games alone ?

Yes. R****** have won 39 pts at home, Hibs 31 pts, Celtic 28 pts. Admittedly the other 2 have played 15 SPL at home, we have played 13.
