Our reserves are always the best, he isn't the one that has conducted some sort of amazing feat by looking after them whilst they win games.

He is also a part of the club as it stands therefore is partly responsible for what is happening. If I was him and had any aspirations of managing Celtic I'd leave at the first opportunity and cut my teeth elsewhere.

i dare say tony mowbray couldn't win the reserve league. if he leaves then he may not want to come back as they realise that england is far superior.

would rather lennon being involved in celtic than mogga, venus or grant

dont get this obsession about Lenny as some sort of magical talisman. Players with guts and drive often do not carry that successfully into management. Dont get me wrong, I think Lenny is a brilliant guy but he cant do much for our first team until he goes off for 4 or 5 years and proves himself in management.

He won the Championship. Are you saying that the Scottish Reserve League (obviously now defunct) was tougher than the Championship? Not defending Mowbray here but what Lennon does with the reserves is simply meaningless in real management terms.

well to be fair he at least knows what it means to win leagues and cups and that experience can only be good for the team. i dont see how you can see he cant do much for the first team until he has 4 or 5 years experience as grant has less than that and mowbray has just more than that. guardiola had 0 experience before he took charge at barca. im not calling for lennon to take over just saying I think he should be involved in the first team.

Definately agree with you on this one. Grant was the muscle to McStay's maestro. He had that same mongrel instinct we all love about Lennon and so could understand why TM not wanting to them both if they both serve the same purpose. I can only assume Grant has mellowed with age, because he sure doesn't appear to have that same fire anymore.
