If he actually gave Ras his chance he would finish top scorer this season easily

    Well Speaking of Rasmussen :shamrock:

    SPL
24 min. vs Hibs 0 goals
27 min. vs Hamilton 1 goal
27 min. vs Aberdeen 0 goals

SPL total 78 minutes 1 goal

    Cup
90 min. vs Dunfermaline 1 goal

    XI
45 min. vs Falkirk 2 goals
45 min. vs Kilmarnock 2 goals

Total XI 90 minutes 4 goals

    Thats 258 min. 6 goals:50:

Thats over 2 goals per 90 minutes of play!:50:

Even if you disregard the XI its still 2 goals 168 minutes = 1,07 goals per 90 min.

He wont keep up those stats through a whole season - but anyone betting against him netting 25 per season as a first team regular, aren't playing the odds:86:

we are having a bad season and the boys heads keep going down after they seem to be rising again... we are making enough chances to win three games but dont finish enough and the defence is horrendus this season

More than Motherwell forwards anyway! Jutkiewicz is out scoring our 'strikers'.

Our strikers should be scoring at least 20 a season considering the amount of chances they get compared to other spl teams (minus the huns).

Aye it's the ratio of chance creation to goals which is poor which ultimately leads us to be watching players that don't disprove the view that many fans have- that they aint gd enough.

They gotta stick the ball in the net to make us believe they are good enough - not as if they don't get the chance. What disappoints me as well is the concentration levels at times- like that fortune' chance right on half time on sunday- of his won making as well :(

id say between 3 strikers whether 2 consistently used and 1 as a sub or 3 rotated game by game that the bare minimum they should be hitting is around 50 goals in the season. JVOH and skippy hit 51 during the 3 in a row season so it shouldnt be a problem for 3 strikers to achieve it.

Minimum 20. Samaras wouldnt score 20 in a season. The only striker who could score 20-25 is Rasmussen i think.

Why the * did we sell McDonald?

Goals to Starts ratio of 1 goal every 2 games seems fine with me. In fact I was quite impressed reading Sammy and Fortunes ratio. Surprised Fortune hasn't had any assists yet mind since I consider him quite selfless.

I think fortunes involved in a lot of the goals he scored by dragging defenders out of position and also involved earlier in the build up to goals. Now that hes fully fit i think were starting to see what he brings to the team and if he can hit 15 league goals this season i thinks thats a decent return considering his injury and the fact he isnt expected to be the main goalscorer.

I think ideallyyou have an average of about 25 each between a couple of strikers.

I reckon a minimum of 20 SPL goals from a top scorer , and a minimum 35 SPL goals partnership between the top two strikers over the course of an injury free season..
