I do not understand the need for these songs. If you have political views regarding the Governments policies toward Ireland then why do you not lobby them directly? The singing of songs at football matches is not going to bring about change. The only other reason to sing the songs is for nostalgia or to antagonise. I think both ourselves and Rangers have a majority who fall into the latter camp. Swap the words to these songs and it wouldn't matter to them anyway cos the majority do not understand the historical relevance. So if you see yourself as a Che O'Guevara then by all means continue your admittedly noble cause but do it in the correct manner, a manner that might have a positive effect instead of perpetuating pointless hatred amongst the ignorant.

I think some people are missing the point here. It doesn't matter what your beliefs are, whether or not we support IRA, if we continue to sing songs in praise of them, then we are going to get done. End of story.
