Keane V Boyd

Was just wondering if boyd played for celtic who would celtic fans rather have playing every week.

boyd who needs 1 chance to score a goal and in many games may not get that chance or keane who will create many chances but may need a few more chances to score.

there is no debating that keane is twice the player boyd is but is he a better goalscorer?

Keane everyday of the week. I'd be surprised if anyone voted Boyd. (Hundercover huns excluded)

 

Keane can score against the big-teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, France, Italy, Germany etc)


Boyd can't (Except a meaningless goal against us after the league was won of course).

 

Different strikers altogether ,Boyd is more of a poacher ,where is Keane makes his own chances out of nothing.,Keane for me.

 

In the current climate I would rather Boyd. Can you imagine how we would have done in all those games we dominated, creating chance after chance, and yet failing to score. With Boyd playing we would have been winning 3/4/5/6 nil !!

Keane will no doubt create more chances but as we have seen so far, he doesnt always convert these to goals.

 

Oh and im no Hundercover Hun Quigley ! I just see it as we need someone who will score goals even if we only create a chance or two as we have blown too many chances this season.

 

Ave sat on the fence here......A would love to have both of them playing together what a strike force that would be.

 

it really is a hard 1.. think it really does depend on the opposition. against the bigger club there is no doubt it would be keane as boyd doesn't do it enough in the big games. Is that done to him as a player though or the team hes in?

against the smaller clubs i would maybe go boyd. im undecided think it would maybe just come down to form for me.

 

Although Keano is a quality player and world class, i would unfortunatly say Boyd only because i'm scared everytime he plays for rangers because he looks like scoring! He's not the same quality as Keano but he is quality for the SPL! For some reason he just plays well in the SPL!

However, i would never like to see him play for Celtic and actually hate the guy! but on consistency i would say Boyd right now, but i'm hoping Keano can keep up the goal scoring and then no doubt it'd be Keano!

Keano for me. He adds far more to the team that hes paying for.

 

I think we have a player that is ten times the poacher of what Boyd is, a player that Mowbray keeps on the bench most of the time.

and anyhow what does it matter who picks boyd its a forum to put things up for discussion.

and if you even read what people have posted you might know who picked boyd becuase the person openly admitted it and gave his reasons.

Keane for me

 

at the end of the day lads look whos top of the league, if keane scores some goals and we win the league then i would rather see keano playing up front, but boyd has scored * loads more than any celtic striker this season and his team are top that being said i actually believe we will win the league and that keane is twice the player

 

Spot on mate.id like to see him get more game time as he has scored everytime hes played for us so far and its that kind of ability we're lacking so badly this season,anyway keane for me far superior player than boyd will ever be.

 

Boyd is * and overrated - like McCoist before him.

Difference is, McCoist was a real morale boost to the team, whereas Boyd is a snivelling, moanyfaced wankshaft.

it depends bcoz keane has been here since jan.see who scores more between now and the end of the season and you have your answer but if you try to compare them at international level you will have your answer now.keane is a million times the player.if boyd is at the huns next year then compare him against rasmussen because they are more similar.
