i doubt middlesbrough would have forked out 500k for a loan fee for us just to recall him a couple of weeks later. Doesn't quite work like that.

    I've heard it all.

Darren O'dea was *. He went out on loan - he was *. Darren O'dea was the answer to all of our defensive problems, guess what - he's still *.

When players are here, they are verbally abused and mocked for their football ability, the minute they are out the door - it's like they've suddenly improved and could be the answer to our problems.

Can't fault McManus's effort or desire, sadly he doesn't have the ability to go with it - now he's gone, he still doesnt.

I can't recall Thompson having put a foot wrong, mate. His lack of pace has been highlighted, but he seems to be smart enough to leave a couple of yards between him and the striker infront of him.

He probly hasnt put a foot wrong pal but its the things he,s not doing that has me worried, i expect a central defender to be domininant in the air and win his fair share of headers, he doesnt look good in the air imo, and for his size should win a lot more than what he,s winning

sorry if i sound harsh but thats the reality at a club like celtic

Thompson was poor at Pittodrie last week and was beaten far too easily in the lead up to Dunfermline's first goal in the Cup.

I know he's young and I'm not writing him off but saying he hasn't put a foot wrong is a bit generous imo.

I wonder if Yogi would fancy a wee loan spell instead of sitting in the stands for the next month or two.

That's a fair statement to make, but I did say that I didn't recall him putting a foot wrong...:50:
