We are 10 points behind, and playing rangers at Ibrox next weekend, why do you need to wait until the end of the season before making the judgement ???

Dont you think the league is over ???

And where i completely disagree with you is when you say the fans need to improve...

Is this the same fans that continually plow their money into the club, and if they decide to vote with their feet, you say they should improve ???

The Improvement needs to be linear, board, manager, team then the fans will come back on board, only stupidity would be happy with whats happening at Celtic park just now, and blindly support the side.

While we voice our concerns, rightly boo at what we are not happy about, vote with our feet, the board will need to act.

Do you think for one minute, if we had 60,000 week in week out this season, cheering every full time whistle, while the same results where happening, the board would have went out and got Robbie Keane?

Its the voice of the people that matters, and if the paying customer is not happy, then in what way should we improve?

    Ach behave.

The celtic board you're talking about, of the 80s and early 90s, was guilty of gross financial mismanagement, shocking nepotism, and borderline corruption. They ran the club into the ground, and took us to within hours of being shut down by the banks.

What we're talking about here, on the other hand - at a time of financial strength and recent investment - is a bunch of fairweather gloryhunters throwing a hissy fit because we lose or draw a few games.

To even suggest a comparison between the two is utter toys-oot-the-pram fucktrumpetry.

If you'll pardon my use of a new word, which doesn't actually exist.

    LOL!

    Always call the blackmailers' bluff.
Patto put down the receiver and stroked the cat.
"See Daphne? Either they back down, or I get their season tickets. Win-win."
Patto snapped down his hatbrim, tipped back in his chair, and waited...

Some of the signings only came in at the end of January so I won't judge whether they were right or not until they've been given a chance.

Realistically I don't think we'll win the league this season but I'm still hoping we'll turn it around and if we show a marked improvement then I'd be satisfied that we were heading in the right direction, that's why I'll wait until the end of the season before judging.

I've already stated I'm not happy with the way the season has gone so far so your comment about "only stupidity would be happy with whats happening at Celtic park just now, and blindly support the side" is rather redundant.

When I said the fans have to improve I wasn't talking about the amount of money we spend, I was talking about the amount of support we give, not the same thing. IMO too many fans go to the games who do not give the support we need on match day, that is what the fans have to improve.

Give the team the support during the game, make your frustrations known after the game, that is how the fans can improve imo.

Supporting a team isn't linear, its circular, the fans rely on the team and the team rely on the fans, it's all connected imo.

    Celtic Supporters

Agree with above. Been a supporter all of my life through the 70's 80's 90's and the new millenium. Have seen it all from Seville to standing in the Jungle when we had 16000 turning up to watch the Team in the eary 90's. ALL Celtic supporters have the right to voice their opinions and I am sensing the "militant" tendency in our support are trying to dictate what we should say, sing etc...We should respect everyone's viewpoint and if fans don't want to go to games, who are we to judge! We are in tough economic times and a day/evening trip to Celtic Park can be an expensive outgoing to many folk. I will always support my Team but I will not be gagged by anyone if I want to express an opinion

Never once did i say anything about the fans spending money

I take issue with you saying about the support the fans give. i think the fans at the moment are going above and beyond the call of duty, and if some feel like staying away, then so be it.

And I meant the team improvment is linear. From the board, to the management to the players, then the fans will come on board.

How can that be circular in whats is currently happening, the proof is the opposite.

Like i have said on a previous thread, its not the end of the world like some people on here make it out to be..

Yes, like every other celtic supporter at the minute i am unhappy with the current situation we are in but listen we have been in much worst circumstances and things will improve.. supporting a football is full of ups and downs, good times and bad times and at the moment we are experiencing a bad time.. our current manager may not be fit for the job but i will give him my backing wile he remains at our club.. look at current squad we have, its one of the best we have had for years but it takes time for a team to gel and its obvious that even if we do gel soon its to late anyway but if we had of had this current squad from the start of the year then i have no doubt we would have won the league this year..

My point is, supporters want joy all the time but thats not the way football works.. its sticking by your team no matter what position their in, as i have said to ones before, "I will always support celtic even if they somehow manage to end up in division 3 of scottish football".. things arent good at the moment but if we win the scottish cup and beat the shame home and away then i will be happy enough this season and will look on at next season with the hope of winning the league back.. keep the faith..:50:
