Anyone hear the republican songs sung near the end of the dunfirmlan game, brought a wee smile to my face as it sounded as if the away supporters where enjoying themselves alright.
I think one of the reasons why the atmosphere is completly * at parkhead is because that * up board has tryed to put a stop to us singing them, anyone think the same
I remeber getting brought over to glasgow from no age when the atmosphere was eletric:celt_2: ffs ,now a days its totaly * and i dont expect it to get any better in the near future :38:

there needs to be a clear cut list of songs to sing and not to. i heard go home british soldiers which i'm big time not a fan of. but the soldiers song gets the huns wound up for no reason and i don't see anything wrong with it. also, are we going to be chastised for singing oooooh aaaaaah up the ras-mussen now? i don't see anything wrong with botb as it's about ireland before it's independence.

quite simply, there are some songs that are only sung to take the * out of the huns and there are some songs that mean something and are by and large not offensive. growing up doesn't only mean the stopping of all sing songs. it also means putting the songs into context to figure which ones should and shouldn't be sung

im quite dissapointed think the celtic fans are coming back slowly but not as much as id like think some republican songs should only be sung at charlie and the bhoys things like that but most songs sung at celtic away games are fine :) think i herd a few boys start to sing roamin in the gloamin when we played hibs at home but after 5 miutes of trying to get every 1 to join in and failed they just gave up

The Soldier Song is not offensive at all, compare it to the * Save the Queen, that song is actually anti-Scottish. However the Huns prefer to sing Rule Britannia, perhaps when their club goes into receivership they'll all move to London and support the Chelsea scum.

Rep songs should be kept for the pub, supporters bus etc, but when in a football stadium, football songs should be sung.

    It's as simple as that.

The atmosphere at CP hasn't been in decline because of certain songs being banned, but because of the prawn sandwhich brigade slowly creeping in (amongst other reasons ofcourse, but that's the big one for me)

Sing football songs at football and there will be no repricussions, that's the way I see it.

Leave the self public embarressment to the degenerates across the city.

We are in Scotland mate, not Ireland.

Didnt you see the deal being done on policing there at the NI assmbley either just then mate, think you need to grow up.

And its not the fkd up board that brought an end to it, its the law, and standing up against morons like you who like to shout IRA every week!

Wars over buddy, get a grip.

It is possible to have a cracking atmosphere at a game without republican songs being sung, believe it or not! It's really not too much to ask to save em for the pub/bus/home if you ask me. It just gives the hun media ammo to have a pop at us.

Every other song should be belted out at top volume tho... and if someone is gonna get offended by the singing of the Irish national anthem then that says more about them. Though I do wish celtic fans would sing it in Irish, it's the way we were taught it in school & the way it should be sung IMO.

dont think any ira songs etc should be sung at a game .. it aint about football .. just as bad as huns .. the war is over and most people in ireland dont want to go back and i am one of them people .. people fought for a cause and for there rights .. we have most of them rights now .. we dont have a united ireland yet but maybe through talking we will ! give peace a chance .. i never thought there would be a black president in america and it happened and i believe through talking etc we can have a united ireland ..
