Big Tam is a cracking big defender, it's just a shame he's often injured.

There can't be many young Celtic centre halfs out there who ran the show at the back in their first appearance at the shitpit.

He's probably the best centre-back we've got but his fitness is a concern.

There's not many CB's at that age in Britain I would take before him, if any.

Disagree with you there mate. I think big Glenda is our best when it comes to headers. The bhoys sticks his head where it hurts. Also think he's probably got the most headed goals in the current squad.

How can you say that when our defensive record when Rogne played last season was superb? Fair enough you don't think he's going to be the new Maldini but to say he's * is just nonsense.

I think Wilson is our best bet at CH, although he didn't cover himself in glory during the OF game when it mattered most. Mulgrew is second choice for me with Rogne at third, if fit. He's a decent player but he had a nightmare at the back during the league cup final against them last year. He is not very commanding and is susceptible to the ball over the top that everyone has decided is the way to play against us recently.

Rogne is by far our best defender in the air and the tackle he made when he was wrongside and nipped infront of Griffiths just after Hibs scored was another turning point in the match and something we have been missing in recent weeks.

Agreed. He's also good with the ball at his feet which can't be said about Dan or Loovens.

A lot of people go on about the league cup final display when he had just come back from injury. I know it's terribly simplistic but as bad as he was that day he didn't cost us any goals. I'd like to see him and Chico get a proper run together in CD.

Whats this nonsense about: 'worryied that someone so young gets injured so much'.

    This makes no sense.

Thats exactly when you would expect players to get injured - their bodies are still developing and getting used to the demands of professional football so naturally an injury would occur.

Its injury prone 26-28 year olds you have to worry about.

p.s Rogne was phenomenal last night. Mulgrew and Rogne from now on.

I'm fed up with people casting up last year's League Cup Final when it comes to discussing Thomas Rogne. Ok he had a bad game that day. Should the guy spend the rest of his life on the bench because he had 1 bad game?

Kelvin Wilson and Charlie Mulgrew were both gash in the first Old Firm game this season. This doesn't get mentioned every time Kelvin Wilson or Charlie Mulgrew get discussed.

    Where's the difference?

Yeh K.Wilson was much much worst in the 1st OF game this season then Rogne was in the Cup final.

Was fine last night could see he was lacking games -but massive improvement from Dan -should retain his place for me would like to see him and Mulgrew when he is fit.

cant believe a couple of guys saying they dont rate rogne. he's good in the air and when the ball is on the deck, and doesnt just hump the ball the way hes facing, like maj does. what more you want in a centre half??

Maybe 40 Goals a season might keep some happy on here.

Rogne in my opinion has potential to become a long stay at parkhead. He needs to keep fit and be on form.

Thought he was pretty solid yesterday, hope he gets a run of games now to prove the doubters wrong.
