Sunderland manager Steve Bruce will make a £10million summer move for Celtic winger Aidan McGeady after missing out on Middlesbrough’s Adam Johnson.
Bruce is hoping to succeed where one of his former clubs Birmingham failed on transfer deadline day by persuading Hoops boss Tony Mowbray to part with the much-coveted Republic of Ireland winger.

I'd bite there hand off. £10 million for a player with no end product.

We only sell McGeady if there are a lot better players playing consistently for us!
IIE they need to be better than Aiden!

I am sticking with Aiden and Mowbray!

Anything over £5 million for a winger with no end product is crazy money, £10 million, take it and run.

an end product is easy to teach, what he has in ability is not able to be taught or learned. He's gifted, and probably the most gifted player at the club without a doubt. The way he can move the ball past the defender and create that half a yard is immense.

£10m is what I'd let him go for, nothing less.

Mowbray needs to take the same route as Strachan on this one, if he's not playing well, drop him and he'll get back to his best.

If an end product is easy to teach, then why hasn't he learned to produce one in 5 years in the first team?

Because he's not had proper coaching when it comes to teaching an end product? He focuses too much on beating players over and over? He's now being played on the right instead of the left? I don't know why, I'm not the boy and I'm not his coach. But the fact remains this, his pure ability to tear past players at pace, create that half yard and whatnot is immense and that is something that can never be taught. He has talent coming out of his ears. He's what, 23? and been in the first team for 5 years, that speaks for itself. He has been rank rotten in the past few weeks, but he's still our best player.

Start of the season, he was producing end product, scoring goals and whatnot.

He's going to have to have a better end product now that we've got a striker who will score from crosses.
